It will never matter if it's the Republican candidate or the Democrat candidate that gets elected to the presidency. Both are funded by the same corporate America, banks, etc., and both are controlled by same. The agenda is dictated, the plan was laid out decades ago.

Anyone who cares to stop this country from heading down the road to communism needs to stop voting for these parties.

It's sad how conditioned the American populous has become where they will only vote for one or the other main parties and not consider anyone else.

Well I believe the media decided who this president would be. I guess they run the country right now. Honestly I don't see it getting any better.

Exactly ~ main-stream media give you no choice in the matter and that is why I haven't been watching the news at all! Even topics of hurricanes events were so badly covered by the media that most people have no idea what really happened down in the Gulf. You get what the government and the media spoon feeds you and like good little boys and girls we take it without questions.

Local elections I don't have 'as much' problems with, even though I know that most of them are lying through their teeth also, they usually have several running for the same position. We are conditioned to believe that only a democrat or republican can sit in the oval office and this isn't a good thing...

Corrupts goes so deep at all levels that it is unreal and these men and woman are the ones that we are picking to lead our country. We are set up to fail on a global scale, and it will happen...when it does it won't be Obama's fault, or whomever is in office at the time...it will be the machine behind all of them!

I'm amazed at how many people glue themselves to the news and news networks. It's propaganda, it's garbage, and they only tell you what they want you to believe; and, obviously, it's working.

You're right it can't ~ it is like a cattle call now. We really are stuck with one of the other. This time I didn't believe there was a lesser of the two 'evils' so I didn't vote for either of them. I just figured that eventually I would make a peace within myself, but that didn't happen. I had to sit back and watch to see what the rest of the country chose, and now we all have to wait and see what will happen. People can say what ever they want in campaigns it is actions that will truely speak...and I mean that neither pro nor con because at this moment I am giving Obama a clean slate and a chance to change my mind.

Its a start but doesnt go far enough. I dont think lobbyist should have any part in the transition.

Cin, I'll admit I've been struggling with this. The part of me that is upset that John McCain will not be my president is gleefully waiting for BO to tank. He can't possibly deliver everything he promised. The disillusionment is bound to set in at some point and I'll feel somewhat vindicated. However, my better self realizes that this is a very ungenerous attitude that will not benefit America. I know I need to do the right thing and pray for BO at some point. But I'm not there yet.

I hear ya - I can remember walking into a room when I was a kid and seeing Nixon on tv and getting the scariest vibe - this was before he got busted btw. :crazytongue: GW never gave me the scary vibe though.

I view each election as a choice between the lesser of 2 evils, since the other parties rarely get a voice.

IF the policies of FDR are resurrected as planned, with the predictable result, :nono: the irony of the "8 years of failed policies" rant will pale in comparison to what they will be chanting in 2012!!!
