you can post all day long about obama if you want but since this is a forum you are not going to only get people responding who agree with you. You can say what you want about him and so can I. I didn't criticize you I criticized your comparison of obama to hitler and I stand by that.

I copy and pasted the before and after versions to my husband via IM and his reply was:

a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year

Require 100 Hours of Service in College: Obama and Biden will establish a new American Opportunity Tax Credit that is worth $4,000 a year in exchange for 100 hours of public service a year.

Considering how expensive college is and is only getting more expensive I think a lot of students will jump at the chance to not only help their community but help themselves as well. If they don't want the 4,000 a year they don't have to volunteer.

There's just something about that word require. It just sounds so controlling. Why doesn't he just give them that measly ammount. It sure won't pay for much. I wonder if a Harvard student would like to have that money? It might be a little help.

One of the reasons for the rise in costs of college tuition is that they now have costly remediation programs to bring students up to speed that public schools graduated undereducated.

I wasn't one of those misguided majority lol but yes he is the one. I think there are already plans to have an Obama holiday. He is the one we have been waiting for. I guess we will see when the honeymoon period is over.

I didnt say he didnt change mandatory.. I said your first post the text is wrong.. That is not whats on his site. Wherever you got that from they left text off and put text where it isnt.

If you don't want to volunteer don't. But to compare Obama to Hitler is ridiculous. Its not only a disservice to obama but to the millions of people who lost their lives due to Hitler. I have posted a link to Obama's site if anyone is interested in getting facts.

As I said before I believe I am still free to compare his stance on requiring service to Hitler's requiring a whole lot of service. You can go to his site all you like but it won't make a difference to me.

Also I hope that every time I question Obama you won't feel the need to criticize me. I would love to feel like I can post even if we disagree.

Now you know how I feel. He confuses me. But I will try and simplify it for you. He wanted to require children and the elderly to serve. Hitler like mentality. His site then changed the wording to make it sound more appealing. Next you bring up the idea of socialism and I agree that does sound right. Are you keeping up so far?

In conclusion he will require everyone to serve but that's only a cover because someone will have to pay for all the things he wants to do and somehow I think it will be more than just the top 5 percent.
