whiner's wall

well out of 4 months of sweeping i still haven't acquired my big win :( and in the last month really haven't won anything:(:( but did have a few small wins..........i know a big one is brewing
 
Well, I'm officially about to conclude my WORST MONTH EVER. I've been intensely sweeping for about a year. I enter at least a few hundred sweeps a day, and often much more than that. So far this month my prizes total $7 ARV. That's three small instant wins. At least I FINALLY won a bag of cough drops. :) And I haven't actually received a single prize this month.

It's very disheartening. UPS and Fedex have not shown their faces at my house. My mail doesn't come until 5pm, and I wait anxiously every day just to be so disappointed to only get a credit card advertisement.
 
Having a bit of a dry spell, trying to keep the spirits up, not having much Luck! So I have been sweeping for over a year now, won in total about 500.00 in gifts and gc which was great, now here comes the whine, it works out to about .50 per hour more likely less than that. Ouch I always thought my time was more valuable than that. Oh well tomorrow is another day. :sunny:
 
I thought

2011 was going to be my year, but not so far. December wins were not too many and now January is even worse. At least I could count on MyCoke for one of their instants but haven't hit on them in 2 months. I did win a few small items (Halls, Nestle, etc.) but nothing very note worthy. Then I had a few financial blips (don't ever use the same password for all your sites - if someone finds it somewhere then they can figure it out in places you don't want them too - e.g. paypal). For the most part got it all worked out except my virtually null tax return (husband never changed his withholding like I told him too - ugh) AND we owe local taxes almost equal to the return (double ugh..). Anyway, I probably haven't written here since I started this post so long ago and it seemed to help then so I figured what the hay..

LET's go 2011 Grand Prize that I and so many others on this board are WAITING patiently (kind of) for....

So here's to us whiners and turning those whines into wins again....

katron, At least you have won. I have yet to win although I am realitively nw\ew at this. Is there a trick that you would share?

About ten years ago i started sweeping at www.huronline.com, it was great won 1000 from betterhomes, las Vegas trip, 250 gc from cgw palm pilot. then had to get 2nd job and just didn't have the time. since my return have been sweeping for about 3 months now and have won 4 bags of cough drops, strudels, a pair of shoes( champs). but nothing like i used to. but since this falls into my budget i keep going. have nothing to lose but pounds from the finger workout i get from deleting the spam from my spam folder. and from running to window every time the fed ex truck drives by,. lol and nails on the road wont slow him down.
Every time i read the winners list i get new hope. some one wins it might as well be me, or one of us. at least i hear about it here. good luck to all and keep reporting the wins. keeps me going.
 
Yep. I started sweeping the last week of Oct 2010, so it's only been a few months. But I must have had some awesome beginners luck or something. Honestly, the whole month of Nov and half of Dec I had a win at least every 2 days. Things have dwindled in Jan and Feb to an average of maybe a win every 12 days. I got kinda used to winning every few days lol, but I've now come to realize that was just a long running, beginner's lucky streak.

Out of desperation, I opened a Twitter acct a few weeks ago just to use for sweeps. I don't have any idea what I'm doing and all the hashtags (is that what they're called?) and such confuse me like crazy, but I have had some wins from Twitter so I'm glad I decided to open that acct. And I've had pretty good luck with blogs. Again, I don't even know what blogs really are lol. But I enter them and when they say subscribe to RSS feeds, etc for extra entries, I do it via Google, again... no idea what I'm doing and I never check my feeds, but I do win every now and then with blogs.

It helps to keep track of your wins. I have a notepad doc on my desktop that I record all my wins on with the date. When I get discouraged, I like to look at that to keep me motivated. It's been quite some time since my last win... even hoping for some Halls to break my streak soon.

Add my whine to the wall too!

I won a guitar tumer for my son worth about 90 bucks but haven't won anything for myself. Still have faith it will happen.
 
Huge whining to do... been hooke dto my lappie for hours together for months together and didnt win anything... nothing nothing at all..
even the bag of halls turn out to be a 2 $ coupon to be redeemed... :'(
 
I'm getting just a little bit discouraged. This is about the three-week mark for me, my first time sweeping ever, and nothing yet... here's hoping that a great win is on its way. :)

Not that I have a huge reason to whine as sweeps turned Xmas from socks/underwear for the kids into Yea, Ipod touch! but last year I won a 5-day/4 night trip for 4 to Disneyworld w/ resort accomodations and Mickey extras and when I went to sign the IRS affidavit I found out my company sponsored the giveaway and thus I was ineligible to win. And then I found out how many contests the company I work for sponsors that I cannot win as an employee. So, I guess my whine is that those of you entering contests sponsored by a company with a four-letter name that rhymes with Spoke, you have one less person competing against you.

And darnit, how about all those sweeps not valid in certain states! :cussing:

Alright, enough whining. Time to get back to sweeping. "All good luck to me. All good luck to me."
 
Ok, here goes. Whine, whine, whine. Have only won a book in what seems like centuries. I am trying to keep the faith, but it is getting hard. Good luck to me and everyone else on this whiner's wall! :)
 
:whistle: :popcorn: :error: After reading your posts I am having a hard time writing this through my watering eyes and the tears that are falling on my keyboard. LOL LOVE you all and good luck, of which we all could surely use. That is all I have to gripe about for now!

Try to take the focus off your inability to win right now, and just Enter and Forget it!!! I KNOW it sounds corny, but if you focus on the positive, positive WILL come!!!

Negative thinking will only mess you up, on your timing and attitude, and ENSURE you always lose so posting to get the negative OUT of you WILL help - it's why I encourage people to do so, but not to go overboard lest they get in a downward spiral

We can't all be winners, all of the time, and yes, it IS frustrating to see everyone else winning when we can't seem to hit but don't give up...
