I know, it's getting harder and harder to stretch that dollar, huh? I just recently found out that WAL-MART will price-match groceries, so I save time and money just shopping there. I also had to downsize my internet speed and swap telephone carriers to save $40 a month. :crazytongue:

I just remember the 70's, and how it was tough, but we made it through, and that soon this too will pass. If it doesn't? We'll all have to adjust to the "new normal" and find other "necessities" that really aren't that necessary after all :)
 
OK, my turn!! I want the Tassimo bot sooooooooooooo bad. I even convinced my son to play trying to win one. I told him if he does win do a screen shot, put it in a card and that's mother's day. Woohoo, lets hope the whining helps!! OK, next...

Not sure where you live, but here in California, we have The Dollar Tree and the 99 cent stores. Both carry groceries. 99 Cent stores is best! They have fresh produce that is gourmet quality. I guess they purchase what the high end grocers don't, and offer it to us for much less! I go there before anyplace else!

You'll get a kick out of this one! I'm new to sweeps, been sweeping since late Dec 2010. Never won til now and it was the "2000 flushes" sweeps. It was A $10,000 bathroom make over or a coupon for free 2000 flush tabs, which was their weekly drawing. Guess which one I got. My husband said, "Congrats on your big win and at least our toilets will be sparkling clean!" He could not stop laughing. I was actually happy my name got drawn, even if it was for toilet tablets! LOL. Keep sweeping and good luck everyone!
 
Tassimo is over...and nothing! lol Ahhhhh Really wanted that brew pot!

Maybe we will all get some nice winning emails this week??

I'm here to join in on the whining. Don't get me wrong I appreciate all my wins and everything God has done for me but I've had a long dry spell. All my bills are stacking up and my bf and I have to get our own place soon, but we can't even afford to pay bills where were staying now. I'm so scared of being homeless, our power is getting disconnected tomorrow b/c our roommate that just moved left us with almost a $1,000 in past due bills. Please if anyone can hear me I 'm crying for help here, please god let me win something to help us get a home. Thanks for listening and god bless! :cry: :cry: :cry:
 
For those wondering yes I have had small wins recently but nothing to help pay bills, but the food wins have helped a LOT in saving me money on groceries. T-shirts and coffee cups are nice to win but they don't help pay the bills, business at work has slowed to a halt and unfortunately I work off tips. :cry:

Ok, here is my whine- For the last three weeks I have tried to be one of the first "2,000" entries for the Petsmart Innova pet food contest (weekly) to qualify for the free pet food coupon

I'm here in eastern time zone, I wait until 12:00am, 12:01am- hit SUBMIT, the site crashes on me, I log back on- hit SUBMIT again and it takes forever to process and then I'm told "thank you for entering this week's contest...blah blah blah" but that I'm not one of the first 2,000 entries

HUH???? WHY NOT???? I can't submit it any earlier!!!!

Really what I think is that there really ARE NO free coupons

Its just very aggravating
 
I love the fact that we have somewhere to go to complain when things are slow....it saves my family from having to hear about it, and saves ME from them telling me that maybe I should just give up....who wants to hear that? :laughing:

Im sure things havent been as slow for me as some other people...my last win was on 4/25...but so far this year my "biggest" win has been a years supply of dental floss!! All other wins have been small...basically a few movie tickets and some lotion. Im always happy to win SOMETHING, but after winning "bigger" things in the past (10K, laptops, etc..) sometimes the little wins seem a little unsatifying...sorry if that sounds ungrateful. I think I am just feeling grumpy from not seeing a winning screen or email in almost a month......heres hoping sweeps karma takes over and helps all the whiners be winners today :wave:

After winning so big last year I knew it was going to be rough regaining that "I WON!!!" feeling for anything below that {$10,000} so I slacked off for a good long while. :sleepy:

When I went back to sweeping - and just winning free product coupons/ringtones/etc., I tried to keep the fact that I DID win big in perspective - I won the only GP from a year long, daily entry with monthly prizes sweeps!!! So just enter & forget it is not only what I say, it's what I truly believe and practice. :headbang:

I've also found if I take the focus off myself/not winning, by answering questions/voting/etc. I don't get into that negative spiral. It also helps to post it out here!!! :laughing: :crazytongue: :whistle:
 
Still no substantial wins here....a couple small things...Maybe I'm wrong for saying this, but I get kind of peeved when I see that people entered for items they had no interest in and won, when there were people entering who really did want the prize....
