whiner's wall

Almost a month without a win....doesn't help that I had to switch to my old computer which takes 5x longer to enter which makes me not have the time to enter like I used to! Praying for a computer win. It's not in the budget or quite some time!
 
Unfortunately, the sweepstaking world is unpleasant and cut throat at times. Although no one will ever change me from being a friendly, giving person-- I will be more reserved and cautious. No matter what....I plan on getting my BIG win! LOL And what goes around comes around....and bites you in the tokus! :D :whistle:
 
Ok here is my post on the whiners wall. I spend alot of time on here when Im not at work and I only work 4 days a week so thats many,many hours entering contests. I started to do it like a 2nd job almost. Really all my wins are great but other than one 20$ gift card to a store 65 miles away Ive mostly won things like a light up ball or a bag of salad. Im grateful dont get me wrong I just would like something to show everyone who thinks Im wasting my time.To keep things in perspective I tell myself the truth that I started doing this because Im a couponer as a source of coupons and for that it is a great source.Still I want to win that scrubby bubble thing badly ! I Want a big win too just like everyone else .

It's usually a time/time zone thing - like they'll say 11:59 AM EST and we're so used to PM that we miss it.

That's why I don't wait until the end when I come across a 1x I want to enter {rare} & I'll post the info to the comments - I just did I think?

Editors have to list by what the rules state, but they don't list times - that would be insane, and they'd hardly get any sweeps added if they listed every little difference! :crazytongue:

While it usually takes most people 6 months to get their 1st win, and for some of us, it took years {6 for me} to win a biggie, the key here truly is patience - along with persistence, which it sounds like you have plenty of!

Patience Grasshopper. Amy Shulkusky I love it.Its true.I am persistant because I want all the coupons and little freebies. Im a freebie queen. When I get that bottle of shampoo or free bag of catfood its a good day. I started to count and realized Ive actaully won quite a bit. A cooler bag from Friggo, a head and shoulders prize pack, a tshirt but its waiting so long you start to forget. Its all in the mail or supposed to take 10 weeks. Thats too long. I spend hours on hours sweeping and haven't done well at all this year on winning. Hoping things will turn around I could use some good luck this year. I do appreciate anything I win, it has helped my family out. Hoping I will start having lots of luck. thanks.

I'm in Las Vegas, so I can shop at 3 am - which works perfect because I price match and use coupons - I'd HATE to be in line behind me, lol!!! :crazytongue: :whistle:

I keep a notepad with my wins, & save winning pages to PAINT, so when I feel down, I remind myself I CAN win, so I WILL win again!!! :headbang:

I also have almost no short term memory, so I really do "Enter & forget it" and unless I have to do an affy, I often forget about wins I'm waiting to get - looky there, a silver lining, lol!!! :crazytongue: :whistle:

I look forward to seeing your winning posts in the future, because I know you will be one of the very few who stick with this hobby! :headbang:
 
Amy you and many other Sweepers on here sound like kindred souls. We are all just trying make it the best we can and the prizes and discounts from the coupons we can win help me so much. I also pricematch then slap a coupon on it. Feels good to win while your shopping too by getting bargains and coupon freebies. I love shopping at night at the 24 hour Walmart because nobody is there. I always try to be polite so with all my coupons its for the best! Thanks again for the kind words.The truth is I used to love to gamble but couponing and sweeping took its place as a hobby I could better afford. Yep Im going to stick around so long as I can win a little bit of stuff.

I used to gamble quite often, but when I rediscovered sweepstakes in '04 {I snailed in the 80's} I cut way down on gambling :crazytongue:

I've been up and down, money wise, but I have *always* couponed/price matched where i could - it's like once you see how much you save, you just can't bear to pay full freight!!! :crazytongue: :whistle:

People like us {loss leader chasers :headbang: } are the perfect fit for sweeping :headbang:

Much of my gripe has to do with having to fight for prizes I've won.Chapstick has only sent one XBOX and one shuffle.We won 2 more Xboxes and my daughter won 3 shuffles and numerous Itunes cards.Try calling them and they got their head up their butts and can't help you."We know they are working on it" is all I get! And Microsoft Time-Machine,nothing from them either..I won the $250 Best Buy card...should have had the code a month ago.No way to contact them,either.Posted question on their FB wall but no response.Hub and son are also expecting $5 Amazon codes from them as well.I'm glad I save all win info,but I shouldn't have to go thru all this for a prize I won,especially when the email states"There's nothing for you to do except expect your prize in yada-yada weeks".Miller Lite Hoops contest is also cluless as to winners.Sheesh!And I don't know about anyone else but I sure get depressed on Sundays and holidays when there's no mail or UPS/FEDEX trucks running...lol! ok here is my whine iv been on here for two months so far havent won a thing maybe im doing the wrong contests.but nothing does anyone know some that might be easier.to enter that maybe i mig :hiding:ht have a chance with.please help

I need to post my whine because whenever I've whined in the past, my luck would change. I haven't won anything in over a week and the last wins were small (Sobe beverage and such!) So, here's hoping for a change. I need something positive to happen!
 
I have been off for the summer and I spend hours and hours doing Sweepstakes Advantage everyday, facebook, and winprizes online. I enter all the new ones each day, finally won two bikes from Schwinn on fb if they come in and a 25 gift card from Visa Signature that they said would take 4 to 6 weeks. Hoping I get these but just surprised at all the sweepstaking I do and only won twice since Jan. Was just curious if everyone else spends this much time on sweepstaking to not win. Hoping to start winning, I could use some luck right now. Anything would help with this economy like it is especially the gas cards, vehicle which I habve been borrowing for two years, or money to help with all these new medical bills. Praying for a great win for all of us!!Thanks SA, FB,WPO, and the donations for the sweeps. THank you God for the wins I have won:)
 
:wave: here goes my whine I have been doing a local contest to win a car...we just sold ours and need a replacement. The car dealer hides a key each day and gives clues. today is my day off so i was able to search for the key in 108 degree heat.....i did not find it but was talking to several searchers.. they do this all the time and are finding keys for friends....one man said i don't need a car i just like to find the keys...uuughhh lol i gave him my# told him if he runs out of friends im driving a 98 with 164,000 miles..one can hope right! the key will give me a 1 in 144 chance for the car.
