lol - I took a BIG break - I went from snails in the 80's, a few call ins in the 90's, to entering online starting in February 2004 - If I did 30 straight years I'd probably be an UNhappy sweeper :crazytongue: :whistle:

I just read Pale Demon (The Hollows, Book 9) - actually, I re-read 1-8 and then I read it :crazytongue:

I've always been a fantasy & sci-fi reader, but when I took a book I'd just finished on a trip {I thought I'd grabbed the next one in the series :cry:} I went to the gift shop and discovered a new author - Laurell K. Hamilton

I read all her stuff, then scouted around for something like it {without the pages of sex :crazytongue: :whistle: } and found Kim Harrison and I like her MUCH more!!!

At least she'll take your mind off not winning, lol!!! :sunny:
 
This month I have won 2 books. I am very greatful for that but I can't win anything else. Also i received my prize today from Entertainment tonight. It was supposed to be an Abduction prize pack. What i got was a medium size t-shirt and a poster. I was hoping for the movie. I guess i will give the prize to my niece, it bums me out :cry:
 
I am tired of entering sweeps and not having a win in over a year! Actually, it's been almost two years with only one win (a dvd) in that time! I WANT TO WIN!

Okay, how's that for whining? It usually doesn't help, but it can't hurt either. And I'm so discouraged about the way my life in general is going that I really, really could use a win to cheer me up. Would love some cash or a check card to use when I go to my friend's wedding next week, a new mattress since I really need one, or especially a car. But I've never won anything that big so I'm not really expecting to. But ANYTHING would be nice! I wouldn't mind some new makeup to wear to the wedding.

It really does help to whine, i left a post the other day. And yesterday I got my biggest win ever, $500.00 worth of jewelry!! Yay I'm so happy. Keep entering everyone and good luck. :cheers:

:cry: :cry:I too have had an "extremely" long dry spell -- haven't won anything this year -- and only thing I won last year was an apron and BBQ utensils. Believe it is time for a HUGE win, and could really use the encouragement of even a small win.

Alright, I had to come on over to the Whiner's Wall to get my Whine on.

I enter hundreds of sweeps each and every day and can not seem to win one to save my life. Even the "winnable" one seem to elude me.

:cry:

I feel better now. Going to send out some positive vibes and hope they are returned to me (in the form of a sweepstakes win would be nice!).

Things I try to remember:

1] Sweeping is not a normal hobby - most hobbies you get out what you put in. :whistle:

2] While there is no "rule" that entering guarantees a win, therefore entering more guarantees you will win more, it's more like the Lottery, where ya gotta play it to win it!

3] Getting wound up over someone else winning that prize you had your heart set on? So not worth it, unless you own stock in TUMS or something! :crazytongue:

4] Same as 3 but it's because a newbie hit a biggie while you have been toiling way for YEARS. It WILL happen. This is where you decide - fun hobby where you can be happy for others, or ulcer inducing? I pick A :laughing:
