On the question of how to add friends---
Through trial and error I found a few ways. Basically you follow people/request to follow them and they do the same for you.
To find people to follow, you can try a few ways.
---Type the name of the person in the search bar, search "People" find their profile and request to follow.
or
---Use the mail (envelope) icon near the top right, go to your notifications. You will see the names of people who voted on your polls or requested to follow you and things like that. Click on the name and request to follow them.
Also check your notifications to approve (or not) of people who request to follow you.
or
---Find names by looking at your stream. Click on a name that interests you (or hover) and you can find your way to request to follow them.
When that is done, you can enter the sweeps that require you to recommend products to friends. When you click on Recommend, you will have a box to type in your recommendation/review and another box listing your friends...so you can choose which friends and how many friends to send to each time.

Hi!!! I wonder if someone can help. i don't know what i am doing wrong. i tried to apply for three sweepstakes and they show up on "my sweepstakes" but when i go back to each contest it says i have not completed it, even though i did the actions required.. An example, one sweepstakes asked for you to "want" five items that would enhance your movie viewing. it says once i've done that i'll be entered...i did that and the above occured. Don't see what i am doing wrong. Thanks so much for your help! i've been trying this site for an hour and a half to no avail!
You're not doing anything wrong. It's doing the same thing to me tonight. I'm frustrated. I'm sure they'll fix it. I wouldn't waste anymore time tonight, and try back tomorrow. Good luck!

sometimes it takes awhile to go through. I've seen some come through hours later for me. You can also leave them a comment, they will get back to you.

Like any sweepstakes it's all random and some get luckier than others. I usually win about once every week or two if I enter all of the available sweepstakes. Most of them end up with 100+ entries, so you typically have less than a 1% chance of winning every time; regardless, odds are definitely better with Sears than with nearly any other sweepstakes out there. Have to keep in mind that 0/64 is not abnormal and that if you keep entering each one that pops up you're bound to win one eventually. They can be a pain to enter, but odds are pretty good relative to other contests.
Ok, maybe 0/64 isn't that bad. I'm at 1/411. Considering the entries/odds for this sweeps, that's horrible. I now know the main winners by their name and city. I admit, I'm intrigued and obsessed with this "contest." I'm wondering if it has something to do with the time of day you entered. Or maybe if you enter a few days earlier. I'm 85th on the leader board with one win. I've got 26 more entries tonight. I can hardly wait to see how it goes. I really should be cleaning!

Ok, 1/411 isn't great, that is true - but I really do think it is all random. I'm 8/554 or so, but most of my wins were from last year before this got as popular as it is now. I've won a total of $150 in points for 7 of the wins and ~$3000 prize from one. I'm guessing most of the people towards the top of the list have been doing it since the beginning and probably enter nearly every one. I've been doing it for about 5 months or so, but haven't been very consistent in my entries because it's such a PITA sometimes. When I feel really motivated, I'll go through and power through them but it takes a lot of willpower. Just keep at it man, you'll get there!
Well I'm at 1/437 now. Still obsessed & intrigued. I'm not referring to long ago contest and better odds, even though many of my entries were from last year. I'm referring to everyday single individuals winning multiple sweeps, as most of us win 0 that day. I always enter mine at the same time. I'm wondering when the winners are entering. Morning, afternoon, evening? The day of the sweeps, when the sweep was released, or a day or too before expiration. Looking at the multiple daily winners, it just does not appear to be an accurate random draw.
i went 2 or 3 wks winning nothing but last wk i won a sapphire necklace and 10.000 pt , 2 contests in 1 night. than the next night 2 sweeps for 5000 pts and 1 for 8000 pts. so im not sure i enter different times. i think u just have 2 hang with it. i know 2 enter iw early in the morning thats when i win the most. but anyway GL LIKE 2 KNOW
I've been entering these since the very beginning. I'm 7/1076 or about 1/150, which is roughly equal to the average number of entries per sweep; so I would conclude that it really is random once you get enough data points. I still think 1/150 is the best odds of any sweep out there. Now that they're adding up to 30 new ones every day; if you enter them all, you should average about 1 win/week. Personally, I don't get 1 win/week from all the other sweeps I enter combined!
