Prayer Of The Day

I want to encourage everyone to be the best you can be. You have gifts the Lord has given you so take what you have and use it to reach out to someone in need. Maybe it's a phone call. Maybe it's a visit. Maybe it's as simple as saying a prayer.

We can all be used by the Lord to do his will. I will seek him today and ask that he show me how I can encourage someone who may just need a hug.

Thank you Lord for your wisdom and your guidance Amen.

God bless those who read this thread each day and give them the wisdom they need to make the right choices in life. Watch over them and keep them safe and watch over their families. Lord your desire is that all would come to the knowledge of who you are and receive your gift and believe on your son Jesus. If anyone has not accepted Christ as their savior do so while there is still time In Jesus name Amen.

There is a thread in chat about anything and it made me think about how all of our senses can be so conforting to us at times of stress in our lives and how gracious God is to allow us to use them. We can enjoy all the things he has placed around us to be grateful. He has given us so much in this life even when we think we have nothing. With our eyes we can see the beauty in things. Even without eye sight we can still find a way to compensate by using our other senses. We can smell all the beauty around us. We can touch and be touched.

All that we have been given by our creator is what it is to be human and to enjoy the life we have. Even if we had no material things we could still find a way to survive with the abilities he has given us.

So stop look around you, inhale the beauty of life itself and thank God for giving you the gift of life so that you could experience all that it has to offer.

1 John 3
1SEE WHAT [[a]an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognize, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognize, acknowledge) Him.
2Beloved, we are [even here and] now God's children; it is not yet disclosed (made clear) what we shall be [hereafter], but we know that when He comes and is manifested, we shall [as God's children] resemble and be like Him, for we shall see Him [c]just as He [really] is.

3And everyone who has this hope [resting] on Him cleanses (purifies) himself just as He is pure (chaste, undefiled, guiltless).

4Everyone who commits (practices) sin is guilty of lawlessness; for [that is what] sin is, lawlessness (the breaking, violating of God's law by transgression or neglect--being unrestrained and unregulated by His commands and His will).

5You know that He appeared in visible form and became Man to take away [upon Himself] sins, and in Him there is no sin [[d]essentially and forever].

6No one who abides in Him [who lives and remains [e]in communion with and in obedience to Him--deliberately, knowingly, and [f]habitually] commits (practices) sin. No one who [habitually] sins has either seen or known Him [recognized, perceived, or understood Him, or has had an experiential acquaintance with Him].

7[g]Boys (lads), let no one deceive and lead you astray. He who practices righteousness [who is upright, conforming to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action, living a consistently conscientious life] is righteous, even as He is righteous.

8[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].

9No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, and [h]habitually] practices sin, for God's nature abides in him [His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God.

10By this it is made clear who take their nature from God and are His children and who take their nature from the devil and are his children: no one who does not practice righteousness [who does not conform to God's will in purpose, thought, and action] is of God; neither is anyone who does not love his brother (his fellow believer in Christ).

11For this is the message (the announcement) which you have heard from the first, that we should love one another,

12[And] not be like Cain who [took his nature and got his motivation] from the evil one and slew his brother. And why did he slay him? Because his deeds (activities, works) were wicked and malicious and his brother's were righteous (virtuous).

13Do not be surprised and wonder, brethren, that the world detests and pursues you with hatred.

14We know that we have passed over out of death into Life by the fact that we love the brethren (our fellow Christians). He who does not love abides (remains, is [j]held and kept continually) in [spiritual] death.

15Anyone who hates (abominates, detests) his brother [in Christ] is [at heart] a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding ([k]persevering) within him.

16By this we come to know (progressively to recognize, to perceive, to understand) the [essential] love: that He laid down His [own] life for us; and we ought to lay [our] lives down for [those who are our] brothers [[l]in Him].

17But if anyone has this world's goods (resources for sustaining life) and sees his brother and [m]fellow believer in need, yet closes his heart of compassion against him, how can the love of God live and remain in him?

18Little children, let us not love [merely] in theory or in speech but in deed and in truth (in practice and in sincerity).

19By this we shall come to know (perceive, recognize, and understand) that we are of the Truth, and can reassure (quiet, conciliate, and pacify) our hearts in His presence,

20Whenever our hearts in [[n]tormenting] self-accusation make us feel guilty and condemn us. [For [o]we are in God's hands.] For He is above and greater than our consciences (our hearts), and He knows (perceives and understands) everything [nothing is hidden from Him].

21And, beloved, if our consciences (our hearts) do not accuse us [if they do not make us feel guilty and condemn us], we have confidence (complete assurance and boldness) before God,

22And we receive from Him whatever we ask, because we [[p]watchfully] obey His orders [observe His suggestions and injunctions, follow His plan for us] and [[q]habitually] practice what is pleasing to Him.

23And this is His order (His command, His injunction): that we should believe in (put our faith and trust in and adhere to and rely on) the name of His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and that we should love one another, just as He has commanded us.

24All who keep His commandments [who obey His orders and follow His plan, live and continue to live, to stay and] abide in Him, and He in them. [[r]They let Christ be a home to them and they are the home of Christ.] And by this we know and understand and have the proof that He [really] lives and makes His home in us: by the [Holy] Spirit Whom He has given us.

I want to say a special prayer this morning for my husband's Aunt Helen. She passed away last night and my prayer is for the family. They have lost a very beautiful woman who has a special place in the hearts of all her family. I never met her but I know she is with her savior this day and she is smiling down on all of us.

It's funny how having never met her and I can't stop crying. Maybe that's because I would have loved to meet her but we just lived so far apart. Thank you God that even though sometimes we never meet someone they still have a place in our hearts. God bless her family and help them to always know we will all be together again soon Amen.

Rest In Peace Helen we love you.

Cin, My friendship and love to you in your time of loss, and her time of gain. I pray the Lord above be with you and her family and friends

Cin, My friendship and love to you in your time of loss, and her time of gain. I pray the Lord above be with you and her family and friends

Thank you

The Lord knows how to confort us in our time of loss and he will be there when we need him and he will be there when we think we don't need him. I can not tell you enough how much he teaches me to be strong and to grow more every day. I do know that this life is a vapor and while I am here I will try and be pleasing in his site and look to him to meet all my needs.

God bless everyone today and walk with Jesus every where you go.

Lord that you would bless me indeed. That you would enlarge my territory. That your hand would be with me and you would keep me from evil.

This is the prayer of Jabez and God answered his prayer. If God can answer his prayer he can answer anyone's prayer. He wants us to seek him in prayer. He is waiting for us to call on him just like any good father would want. To have his children call on him for anything they need. He is wise and he will make the right choice for us.

Bless his holy name Amen

I want to say a prayer that this hurricane will not create too much damage. For those in the course of the storm I pray Lord that you will protect them. Father we know we are in this world and that storms will come but we can still ask for your protection just as Israel always had your hand over them from the time they left Egypt. Thank you Lord that you grafted us in with your chosen people and that we can call on you to watch over us Amen.

Be safe everyone and I am glad that we may get some rain here in Houston.

Lord I thank you for helping me to trust in you and believe you will take care of all my needs. You are my best friend and my father. I know sometimes we have to make tough decisions in life but if we make those decisions knowing that somehow things have a way of working out because we trust you. I am not always going to get the answers to my prayers that I think I should but usually that's because I am looking at it from a worldly perspective and not what you have planed. I will continue to study your word and learn to believe that you are in control. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

I hope if someone else needs to take this prayer and hold onto it then we can send it up to Heaven together knowing God listens.

Be blessed and be a blessing.

1 John 4
1BELOVED, DO not put faith in every spirit, but prove (test) the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world.
2By this you may know (perceive and recognize) the Spirit of God: every spirit which acknowledges and confesses [the fact] that Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [actually] has become man and has come in the flesh is of God [has God for its source];

3And every spirit which does not acknowledge and confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh [but would [a]annul, destroy, sever, disunite Him] is not of God [does not proceed from Him]. This [[c]nonconfession] is the [spirit] of the antichrist, [of] which you heard that it was coming, and now it is already in the world.

4Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.

5They proceed from the world and are of the world; therefore it is out of the world [its [d]whole economy morally considered] that they speak, and the world listens (pays attention) to them.

6We are [children] of God. Whoever is learning to know God [progressively to perceive, recognize, and understand God by observation and experience, and to [e]get an ever-clearer knowledge of Him] listens to us; and he who is not of God does not listen or pay attention to us. By this we know (recognize) the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error.

7Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born) of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him].

8He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love.

9In this the love of God was made manifest (displayed) where we are concerned: in that God sent His Son, the only begotten or [f]unique [Son], into the world so that we might live through Him.

10In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.

11Beloved, if God loved us so [very much], we also ought to love one another.

12No man has at any time [yet] seen God. But if we love one another, God abides (lives and remains) in us and His love (that love which is essentially His) is brought to completion (to its full maturity, runs its full course, is perfected) in us!

13By this we come to know (perceive, recognize, and understand) that we abide (live and remain) in Him and He in us: because He has given (imparted) to us of His [Holy] Spirit.

14And [besides] we ourselves have seen (have deliberately and steadfastly contemplated) and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son [as the] Savior of the world.

15Anyone who confesses (acknowledges, owns) that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides (lives, makes His home) in him and he [abides, lives, makes his home] in God.

16And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the love God cherishes for us. God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him.

17In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world.

18There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love [g]turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear [h]brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love's complete perfection].

19We love Him, because He first loved us.

20If anyone says, I love God, and hates (detests, abominates) his brother [in Christ], he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, Whom he has not seen.

21And this command (charge, order, injunction) we have from Him: that he who loves God shall love his brother [[j]believer] also.

I am just thinking how much we need peace today. We need peace in the world and we need peace in our lives. But in order to get that peace we have to put our trust in God because only he can give us the peace we really need. The kind of peace that gets you through anything because you know you are taken care of and that no matter what happens in your life you will be at peace within yourself. I pray that everyone has that kind of peace and will be content with the things that happen in your life.

As for the peace that we seek for our world that will only happen when Christ returns to rule the world. There will always be troubles in this world up until then. Our hope in Christ is that he promised to return and he will Amen.

Find peace in your heart and wait on the Lord because he keeps his promises.

There is a post in this forum from Ken and it is a very powerful post with a picture that made me cry. It is a very beautiful thing to know Jesus and it is something I am so grateful for having done. If you don't know him please think about getting to know him while there is still time. We are living in the age of grace and soon that time will be over. We all have to ask ourselves where we want to be when we die. I did and I chose Christ.

If you believe in him then you know what the future holds. If you do not then you may think this is all there is to life and you die and get put in a box in the ground. There are other belief systems of course but I know what is in my heart and I believe there is only one God and son the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank you God that you have opened my eyes to who you are and I pray many more will come to believe in you in Jesus name Amen.

Just wanted to say that this thread has had almost 10,000 views and I am just so thankful that SA has allowed me to post each day. I really do hope I have been able to share some information with everyone and I am so glad some people have also contributed to the thread.

So God bless everyone on SA and any guests who visit each day. Any time we can come together and talk about the Lord we are doing his work.

Just be safe today everyone and always know he is with you even when it may not feel like it. He never turns his back on us but we sometimes turn our backs on him. We tend to think when things are going good that we don't need him but that's not the case really. We should always be thanking him for everything. The good and the bad because in our moment of weakness we call on him and we become strong. But he deserves our attention every moment of every day.

Father we thank you for every moment and we give you all the glory and all the praise. You want us to grow as children of God and you gave us your word to study and learn how to live. I will seek your face Lord each and every day Amen.

Be blessed and be a blessing.

We are living in exciting times everyone. Yes the world is going in a direction that would cause a nonbeliever to wonder what will happen next but if you put your trust in God then you know what the future holds. For a Christian it is already planed out what will take place in the coming years. We have read the book and we know how it will end. The prince of this world will have his day in court and the Lord Jesus will rule and reign. So don't fear for yourselves or your family if they are Christ's then they will be with him in heaven.

Lord we thank you for the promises you've made to us and we know you are not a man that you should lie. God does not change and that is our hope. He will return and we shall be caught up to meet him in the clouds. Praise you Father for your promises and I will worship you forever Amen.

Praise the Lord over 10,000 views to this thread. I hope and pray they have helped some of you at times. I was thinking wow I am wittnessing to a lot of people. What a blessing. Even if I bring 1 person to Christ I feel honored. We can witness in many ways and as long as the Holy Spirit is in the world we still have the opportunity to do so.

God bless everyone and be a blessing.
