Prayer Of The Day

Good morning to all my guests. I hope you all have a blessed day and maybe you all could join this site and we could get to know one another.

God bless

I just had to come back tonight and say how glorious the Lord is. He answers prayers in some of the most unexpected ways. Always keep your heart open to believe you will hear from him.

I will be going out of town for the 4th so I pray everyone has a safe holiday and enjoy the fireworks.

Be blessed and be a blessing.

I hope everyone had a nice 4th. I know I had a nice time visiting family and I am glad to be back home. I thank God for all the things he does in my life. Sometimes they are little and sometimes they are huge but he is always present and always watching over me. To know him means that he knows me and he has always known me. He will meet you where he promised. He will be your provider and all he asks in return is obedience.

Be blessed and be a blessing

I really do love seeing the scripture of the day each morning. The thing I love the most is that if we really study the word and let it sink in we can then live it. His words are in our hearts and soul and we start to walk the walk. What I have found is it does not take very long either. The more you study his word the easier it is to remember them when you need a word of encouragement for yourself or someone else. Or words of wisdom. Anything you need God will bring to your remembrance at any given time. Study his word and grow Amen.

You are right the key is to study, reading is great but for growing and understanding and living, studying will bring you to what God really wants out of everyone which is obedience and obedience to his word.

Thank you Lee for your words today and I hope to see more. I think it helps to get someone Else's thought on the subject of our walk as being Christian.

I think today would be a good day to pray for our nation. We are in a time where anything could happen and we have so much going on. Our economy our security. I think we need to seek God to heal our land. We need to humble ourselves and seek his face and he will hear from heaven. Nothing is too small or too big for God.

Lord we ask you to heal our land and to be with this great nation we live in. You can be in every situation and we invite you to guide us Amen

Cindy, I must say this is something that I have had on my mind and would request prayers for. My son is going in for his second tour overseas. It will be for 18 months. His first was 12 months. My problem is dealing with anger on this issue. I am very aware we are to love everyone even our enemies. I have some anger toward the government as my sons time is going to be done before this deployment, but they are forcing him to stay in and go. I have resentments due to this. He has a new son, 6 months old. He missed his first sons first years, now his second son he will miss even more. I feel it is so unfair to make him stay when there is no draft, but people who volunteered and did their time are being punished. But I know I can not keep these feelings and they are not how the Lord wants us to feel. We need to be kind and loving. I know we don't have to agree with everything, but anger and resentment are not good christian traits. So I would please ask for some prayers also for the families and men who are in the same situation as my son. I know several families that are going through this . While we are all proud to serve and of our family that are serving, there are areas that could cause problems if allow them to.

tobby1 First thank your son and all the men and women who serve this country. They are very brave and our hero's. And thank you for loving him just like any mother would do when it is her child. That just comes with the job because we love them unconditionally.
I think God knows we are human and that comes with human emotions. I can guess we all get angry and resentful at times along with all the other emotions that come with being a person. God knew you and your son before you were born and he knows what each of you face in life. He knew you would serve him and he knew you would get angry over this very situation. We know God himself gets angry. Think back to the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Jesus got angry when he said this is not a place to sell in the temple.

For you to be able to let go of this anger just give it to God and let it go. I know that you know how to do that by laying it at his feet and saying how hard this all is for you. He understands and he will ease your burden in this matter. He will give you peace over this and he will confort you. There are lessons in life for all of us and we are growing as long as we are willing to try to find what the lesson is. I have found even with my own children I have to let go and give them to God. And when someone or something happens to them I first get angry and then I hurt so bad for them because I just want to protect them.

Father in heaven help this parent to be able to have peace with this situation. Help her to let go of this anger and give her the power to accept that no matter what you have her and her son in your loving arms. Give her the strength to accept that it's ok to have anger but to not let it consume her. Protect her son and bring him home safely because he has a job to do home and that is to raise his family to get to know you Lord. I agree in prayer with tobby1 and will keep her and her baby boy in my thoughts and prayers Amen in Jesus name I pray.

Also I would ask everyone who sees this prayer request and whoever visits this place each day please be in agreement with me and tobb1 concerning her needs.

God bless
Cindy

Tobby, Your son and family will be in my prayers. I understand your anger and resentment, but Cin is right, give it to God. I had to have her remind me of that not long ago myself. (Thanks as usual Cin) Sending hugs to you, and hope you can find some peace.

:) So sorry for your frustration tobby1. It really doesn't seem fair, but then few things are. I am just so thankful for young men like your son that do serve our country. I will certainly keep you and your family in my prayers and pray for his safe return.

You are so welcome tobby and I knew we could all come together when a SA family member needs us. Bunny you are such a breath of fresh air to me. I think it's just who you are. You just make me smile and think about flowers for some reason. I really do think you have such a sweet nature. pmeek thanks also for taking the time to pray with us.You always seem to make me think of you as someone with a lot of wisdom. I get the impression that you have been through some tough times but they have made you a strong person. God bless each of you guys and let us all be about our Father's business which is to bring those that are lost to him and to serve him with a willing heart Amen.

thank you all soo much. I feel like I have another family I can turn to when I need a little pick up. I know the Lord wants us to all come together and help each other and I thank him for each of you.

1 John 1
1[WE ARE writing] about the Word of Life [[a]in] Him Who existed from the beginning, Whom we have heard, Whom we have seen with our [own] eyes, Whom we have gazed upon [for ourselves] and have touched with our [own] hands.
2And the Life [an aspect of His being] was revealed (made manifest, demonstrated), and we saw [as eyewitnesses] and are testifying to and declare to you the Life, the eternal Life [[c]in Him] Who already existed with the Father and Who [actually] was made visible (was revealed) to us [His followers].

3What we have seen and [ourselves] heard, we are also telling you, so that you too may [d]realize and enjoy fellowship as partners and partakers with us. And [this] fellowship that we have [which is a [e]distinguishing mark of Christians] is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

4And we are now writing these things to you so that our joy [in seeing you included] may be full [and [f]your joy may be complete].

5And this is the message [the message of [g]promise] which we have heard from Him and now are reporting to you: God is Light, and there is no darkness in Him at all [[h]no, not in any way].

6[So] if we say we are partakers together and enjoy fellowship with Him when we live and move and are walking about in darkness, we are [both] speaking falsely and do not live and practice the Truth [which the Gospel presents].

7But if we [really] are living and walking in the Light, as He [Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].

8If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude and lead ourselves astray, and the Truth [which the Gospel presents] is not in us [does not dwell in our hearts].

9If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].

10If we say (claim) we have not sinned, we contradict His Word and make Him out to be false and a liar, and His Word is not in us [the divine message of the Gospel is not in our hearts].

I just have to thank the Lord again for a place like SA I have had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful people and they have all been nothing but kind to me. I thank God for the kindness of strangers and the ability to return that kindness to anyone I meet.

Be blessed and be a blessing.

1 John 2
1MY LITTLE children, I write you these things so that you may not violate God's law and sin. But if anyone should sin, we have an Advocate (One Who will intercede for us) with the Father--[it is] Jesus Christ [the all] righteous [upright, just, Who conforms to the Father's will in every purpose, thought, and action].
2And He [[a]that same Jesus Himself] is the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins, and not for ours alone but also for [the sins of] the whole world.

3And this is how we may discern [daily, by experience] that we are coming to know Him [to perceive, recognize, understand, and become better acquainted with Him]: if we keep (bear in mind, observe, practice) His teachings (precepts, commandments).

4Whoever says, I know Him [I perceive, recognize, understand, and am acquainted with Him] but fails to keep and obey His commandments (teachings) is a liar, and the Truth [[c]of the Gospel] is not in him.

5But he who keeps (treasures) His Word [who bears in mind His precepts, who observes His message in its entirety], truly in him has the love of and for God been perfected (completed, reached maturity). By this we may perceive (know, recognize, and be sure) that we are in Him:

6Whoever says he abides in Him ought [as [d]a personal debt] to walk and conduct himself in the same way in which He walked and conducted Himself.

7Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning; the old commandment is the message which you have heard [the [e]doctrine of salvation through Christ].

8Yet I am writing you a new commandment, which is true (is realized) in Him and in you, because the darkness ([f]moral blindness) is clearing away and the true Light ([g]the revelation of God in Christ) is already shining.

9Whoever says he is in the Light and [yet] hates his brother [Christian, [h]born-again child of God his Father] is in darkness even until now.

10Whoever loves his brother [believer] abides (lives) in the Light, and in It or in him there is no occasion for stumbling or cause for error or sin.

11But he who hates (detests, despises) his brother [in Christ] is in darkness and walking (living) in the dark; he is straying and does not perceive or know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

12I am writing to you, little children, because for His name's sake your sins are forgiven [pardoned through His name and on account of confessing His name].

13I am writing to you, fathers, because you have come to know (recognize, be aware of, and understand) Him Who [has existed] from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have been victorious over the wicked [one]. I write to you, [j]boys (lads), because you have come to know (recognize and be aware) of the Father.

14I write to you, fathers, because you have come to know (recognize, be conscious of, and understand) Him Who [has existed] from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong and vigorous, and the Word of God is [always] abiding in you (in your hearts), and you have been victorious over the wicked one.

15Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him.

16For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one's own resources or in the stability of earthly things]--these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself].

17And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever.

18[k]Boys (lads), it is the last time (hour, the end of this age). And as you have heard that the antichrist [he who will oppose Christ in the guise of Christ] is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen, which confirms our belief that it is the final (the end) time.

19They went out from our number, but they did not [really] belong to us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us. But [they withdrew] that it might be plain that they all are not of us.

20But you have been anointed by [you hold a sacred appointment from, you have been given an unction from] the Holy One, and you all know [the Truth] or you know all things.

21I write to you not because you are ignorant and do not perceive and know the Truth, but because you do perceive and know it, and [know positively] that nothing false (no deception, no lie) is of the Truth.

22Who is [such a] liar as he who denies that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah)? He is the antichrist (the antagonist of Christ), who [[l]habitually] denies and refuses to acknowledge the Father and the Son.

23No one who [[m]habitually] denies (disowns) the Son [n]even has the Father. Whoever confesses (acknowledges and has) the Son has the Father also.

24As for you, keep in your hearts what you have heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the first dwells and remains in you, then you will dwell in the Son and in the Father [always].

25And this is what He Himself has promised us--the life, the eternal [life].

26I write this to you with reference to those who would deceive you [seduce and lead you astray].

27But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [[o]permanently] in you; [so] then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood, so you must abide in (live in, never depart from) Him [being [p]rooted in Him, knit to Him], just as [His anointing] has taught you [to do].

28And now, little children, abide (live, remain [q]permanently) in Him, so that when He is made visible, we may have and enjoy perfect confidence (boldness, assurance) and not be ashamed and shrink from Him at His coming.

29If you know (perceive and are sure) that He [Christ] is [absolutely] righteous [conforming to the Father's will in purpose, thought, and action], you may also know (be sure) that everyone who does righteously [and is therefore in like manner conformed to the divine will] is born (begotten) of Him [[r]God].

Today's Verse:
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God

This verse is just so true and important to remember. We need to renew our minds every day to remind ourselves that we are children of God and that we need to turn from sin and walk as Jesus walked. No we are not perfect but we must try and live by the laws God put forth for us. We all do sin but by the grace of God we can go to the throne to ask forgiveness. Jesus paid the price for our sin so we don't have to sacrifice any more animals.

Let us all renew our minds each day and remember this is only a temporary home. Our residence is in heaven Amen.
