**What's 4 Dinner**

Well, we had to leave and pick something up while I was cooking so I didn't make much. I put the chicken on 285 and thank goodness the beans were done. We thought the chicken would have been burnt since we wound up being gone longer than expected but, it wasn't even finished so I had to turn it up and cook it longer.

Shake and bake chicken
Mac and cheese
Pinto beans

Late dinner.

Hope to make homemade chicken pot pie tomorrow, wish me luck since this will be a first try!

I need a break from chicken so I am making soup and baked potatoes. The chicken pot pie was a success btw, the kids even loved it and ate the veggies when normally they are very picky.

Tonight I made salmon with dill sauce for dinner. For our "vegetable" we ate cucumbers in brine (pickles, without the vinegar, but tastes just like pickles.)

We went out to eat this afternoon to a local buffet when we went to the grocery...they have the best buffet around here...if you are ever in the Madisonville, Kentucky area, stop by the Country Cupboard and have some Chicken! That is the best fried chicken ever!

They also have an extensive dessert bar...yum! Well, today I got to try a dreamcisle pie...omg! It was so good! Of course, it was a cold type pie and I loved it...I like light cool whip type stuff most of the times and this was right up my alley! I am on the search for this recipe if any of you have it! I kid you not ~ one of the ladies there thought it might be made with Tang

LOL@ Tang!

Tonight's dinner will be tostadas, tortilla chips, and salsa. The boys love finger foods. I'm making a yellow cake with chocolate frosting for dessert.

I put a roast in the crockpot and let it cook overnight...oh it is so good! Also had a yellow butter cake topped with fresh strawberries and coolwhip!

The roast sounds dee-lish!!

Funny you topped your yellow cake with strawberries, I thawed some cherries and topped mine with those. Well, it was topped. The kids are going behind my back and picking them off and eating them :cussing:

We just had bonos. Kailey and me at the restaruant. It was so funny.

Kailey was eating ribs, and all of a sudden Kailey goes, ewww whats this? It was the white bone on the top of the ribs.
I said Kailey thats the bone.
She said, "OHhhhh What am I eating." Looking really digusted.
lol I told her it was a pig. And momma's eating chicken. And God gave us animals to eat. Some animals to eat, and some to play with. Well she nibbled a little and then ate the rest of her french fries and bread. I guess shes thinking of becoming a vegetarin. :crazytongue:

Ok, I broke down and went and bought a meat pack (5 items) last night because, we need a little more variety.

Tonight I made homemade chili beans and homemade fries. Tomorrow I will be using the remaining chili to make chili dogs. Someone remind me again why I make beans for my dh?

lol just don't sleep in the same bed tonight. :booty"

I hear ya, Miki! But in my case, it doesn't matter what he eats. The flatulence does not discriminate. I've learned how to leave a room in 1.5 seconds flat at the mere sniff of it, and that includes track-n-field hurdling of couches, chairs, and/or kids

I've been wanting to make my special slaw so I may make slaw dogs with fries. Something super simple so I can just chill tonight.

We have been DYING to cook out and it's sunny so we're gonna!

various meats(burgers, dogs, ribs[for my youngest])
made some macaroni salad and potato salad
baked beans with lil sausages
chips and dip
homemade lemonade

Alright...here you all go again...talking about drinking to the person that CAN'T drink! Fun game guys!!!

I can't wait to cook out...looking forward to some BBQ burgers!! I don't care what else we have. I don't even care if we have buns...we found Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce a few years ago and we are hooked...it is an addiction!!

Also love teraki (spelling again) chicken! Oh...now I'm drooling!
