Prayer Of The Day

Blessings are just around the corner for many. I am just sensing that. Thank you Lord for blessings.

My life would not be complete without you Lord and I would be lost. I am so greatful for friends and family and for life Amen.

I just want to say that I am so thankful for my online friends! The ones that I have come so much to depend on lately! The ones that set me in my place, the ones that tell that tomorrow is another day, the ones that tell me that everything is okay, the ones that tell me that they understand. The ones that love me even though I am me ~ a lot like my Lord!

Thank you all for understanding when the smiles don't always come and the little mean brat shows herself!! I love you all and you are a blessing in my life. I thank God for each and everyone of you!! You all mean the world to me!

I am so thankful I am a work in progress. The Lord has taken a lump of clay and is molding it and shaping it into his image. I am that clay and each day I am growing and learning. I will never stop learning.

Many people think because someone says they are Christian they are perfect. Not true it is a process where we learn from our mistakes but we have a loving Father who will teach us and guide us every step of the way. Thank you for loving me enough to correct me Lord when I make a mistake. Amen

The Lord has shown me that there are so many types of people in the world and we have to pray for each of them. We don't know who will reach out to him and as a christian we know we are all Gods creatures so this morning I say a prayer to all of his children and I thank him for dying on that cross for everyone Amen

This is the day the Lord has made let us be glad in it. It is so early for me but I sometimes get up and try to win instants. Thank you Lord even for this hobby because it is a pleasure for me and I know you are in every part of my life Amen

Be blessed and be a blessing

I would like to thank the Lord for bringing family together for one last time. My husband and I had been talking about visiting my family in Germany (my mother is one of four daughters and only her and her one sister live her), but we never seemed to get around to it. Then we won two round-trip tickets to Germany. Well, that made the decision for us, since we had to book by a certain date. We went in March and had a great time visiting with everyone. Then in August was my Tante's 80th birthday party. My mother has hypothyroid problems and was making all kinds of excuses why she couldn't go (what if something happened to her over there, how does she get water for her medication after security....). After much prodding from me and our relatives over there, she finally gave in; and my father and her booked their flights a month before the birthday party. It was a major to do, and this was the first time in quite awhile that all four sisters were together at the same time. It was a very good year for all. Then, several weeks ago, my Onkel passed away (the same Tante's husband). Now, I know that it was the Lord who made this happen. He knew my Onkel would be leaving us soon, and he wanted us to be there one last time with him before he left us. You see, the Lord has reasons for everything and will make things happen when he wants when he sees the need. I'm sure there was more to our visits than I can see yet, but I'm sure I will learn what it is when he wants me to see.

That is such a great example LIDARKSIDE of how much he is in control and what a blessing for you to be able to go see your family. I am so happy we have the Lord to guide us.

To walk upright before him is what I want to do. I have made many mistakes in my life but the great news is that I can get it right as I grow with the Lord. That doesn't mean I am perfect it just means there is the Holy Spirit living in me and he guides me so I try and listen to him so that I will not make the same mistakes over and over.

Be blessed and be a blessing

John 1
1IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word ([a]Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.(A)
2He was present originally with God.

3All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.

4In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men.

5And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it].

I just love how completely this answers the question as to who Jesus is. Thank you for answers to all questions we could ever have Lord Amen

I want you all to know that if you let him Jesus becomes so real in your life. He becomes your best friend and he is as real to me as my husband in the sense that I can share everything with him and it's like he is in the same room with me. He is just not in physical form. To have someone who knows you completely and loves you more than you could imagine. He will let me know when I mess up he will let me know that I am his pride and joy. Wow what a joy to be loved so much. I hope everyone finds that love.

Take each day as it comes and be blessed. Tell those closest to you how much you appreciate them and how much you love them. Even the little things are important so don't forget to tell them.

It hits a nerve with me when I see someone try to harm someone else for personal gain or satisfaction. I found this and it is a good reminder of what God says about those.

First and foremost, God considered gossip to be such a serious matter that He included the avoidance of it as one of the Ten Commandments. "Thou shall not bear false witness against your neighbor" (Exodus 20). When you repeat something you heard from someone else, or share a story where you're not 100% certain the facts are correct, or even share information about another person that will only bring them harm and not good, you are bearing false witness against them. Since the second greatest commandment is "Love your neighbor as yourself," you would be breaking that one as well by gossiping. Would you gossip about yourself to others? If not, then why commit that act against your neighbor?

In the book of Romans, Paul reveals the sinful natures and lawlessness of mankind, stating how God was pouring out His wrath upon those who were rejecting His laws. Because they had turned away from God's instruction and guidance, He gave them over to their sinful natures. "They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them" (Romans 1:29b-32). God still does the same today. Many reject Him and His word, so He allows them to be ruled by their sinful nature and depraved minds.

Another group who was and is commonly known for indulging in this sinful behavior is widows. Timothy cautions widows against entertaining the habit of gossip and of being idle. "Thus they bring judgment on themselves, because they have broken their first pledge. Besides, they get into the habit of being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things they ought not to" (1 Timothy 5:12-13). Because women tend to spend a lot of time in each other's homes or working closely with other women and getting involved in many people's lives, they hear and observe a variety of conversations or situations which have the potential to become distorted, if what they see is not kept private. Timothy stated that widows get into the habit of going from home to home, looking for something to occupy their idleness. Idle hands are the devil's workshop, and God cautions against allowing that sin to enter our lives.

Now, women are not the only ones who have been found guilty of this sin. Anyone can engage in the act of gossip simply be repeating something heard in confidence. The book of Proverbs has a long list of verses that cover the dangers of gossip and the potential hurt that results when care is not taken to think of the other person and how he/she might react if something they wanted kept private is revealed. "A man who lacks judgment derides his neighbor, but a man of understanding holds his tongue. A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret" (Proverbs 11:12-13).

Many times, people are asked to keep a secret, but they find the secret too good *not* to share. So, they tell just one person, thinking it'll be all right if only one other person knows. But, then that one person tells one who tells another who tells someone else, etc. Before long, what was originally repeated has become distorted and barely resembles the truth it was at the start. The problem began when the person who agreed to keep a secret, didn't stick to the promise made. There's a saying that states, "Two people can keep a secret, if one of them is dead." That saying didn't just become known without a significant measure of truth in it. "A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends" (Proverbs 16:28).

Think about a time when you witnessed the destruction of a friendship over a misunderstanding that started with gossip. Those who engage in this behavior do nothing but stir up dissension and cause strife among friends. There is nothing honorable in their actions, and their own struggles or shortcomings are covered up by their desire to bring someone else down rather than focusing on the areas in their own lives which need work. Some people thrive on this and look for opportunities to destroy others. And when people like this are confronted, they deny the allegations and answer with an excuse for why they've done what they have. Rather than admit their wrong, they blame someone or something else, or attempt to make it sound like the sin committed isn't so bad. "A fool's mouth is his undoing, and his lips are a snare to his soul. The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man's inmost parts" (Proverbs 18:7-8).

Gossip usually hits deep. The topics that are "too good not to share" are generally ones that end up inflicting deep and cutting wounds to a person's inner being. And the betrayal almost always comes from someone close to the person affected. Gossip is bad enough when it comes from someone who is simply looking for a source of information they can share. But, when it begins with a trusted friend or someone who has been taken into a confidence, the betrayal cuts deep to the soul, making it even harder for the one on the receiving end to forgive. "A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid a man who talks too much" (Proverbs 20:19).

Those people who are considered "busybodies" are easily spotted and are usually in the center of the action, flitting from one situation to the next, seeking out a tidbit of information they can use to spread to others. They'll talk to just about anyone, pretending to care or be genuinely interested in what is being said to them, when all the while, their minds are racing ahead to the first person to whom they can repeat their conversation. Gossips are only in it for themselves and the perverted pleasure it brings them to tear others down.

But, God promises light at the end of the tunnel. "A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies will [perish] not go free" (Proverbs 19:5). The righteous will overtake the house of the wicked and bring them to ruin (Proverbs 21:12). Those who guard their mouths and tongues keep themselves from calamity (Proverbs 21:23). So, guard your tongue and refrain from the sinful act of gossip. Surrender your natural desires to the Lord and allow Him to help you remain righteous. Love your neighbor as yourself and don't sin against them in any way that you wouldn't also do to yourself. God rewards the just and the righteous, so strive to remain as such.

Yesterday I was able to pray with someone who was not feeling well and I was so grateful for the opportunity to do this because Jesus said where 2 or more are gathered in my name I am in the midst of them. I truly believe there is power in numbers and anytime I can pray with someone or have them pray with me I am blessed.

When you are feeling overwhelmed and heavy burdened remember to cast your cares on him because he cares for you and he will give you peace. If anyone ever needs me to pray with them I would consider it an honor.

Be blessed and be a blessing.

I'd like to thank the Lord for using his servant to remind me that the sins of pride and vanity will always be with me, until such time as we are all cleansed. Please help me to overcome my sins of pride and vanity and to be meek, because all is dust.
Lord help me to be helpful to others, and not a stone in their path.
Help me to be thankful for the gifts you have given me.
And thank you Lord that Jeff's eye exam went well and his condition is not progressing. That is a true blessing and I am grateful.

I am so blessed. Every day is a new day and another breath. I can smell the cool air. I can stop and think about the things I do have in my life and meditate on the Lord knowing he is watching over me. I take pleasure in being in prayer with him and talking to him. Prayer is a conversation between you and God. It can be a time for worshiping and praising him but it is also you and him talking. I know that most all my posts here are talking about how good things are for me and honestly even in the trying times in my life it is all still good because I trust him completely. He has never let me down and he never will. Now I however on many occassion have let him down but because he is a father to me he loves me unconditionally.

That is the message I am trying to share with everyone. He is a father to you if you let him Amen

Genesis 1
1IN THE beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth.(A)
2The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters.

3And God said, Let there be light; and there was light.

4And God saw that the light was good (suitable, pleasant) and He approved it; and God separated the light from the darkness.(B)

5And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

6And God said, Let there be a firmament [the expanse of the sky] in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters [below] from the waters [above].

7And God made the firmament [the expanse] and separated the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse. And it was so.

8And God called the firmament Heavens. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.

9And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be collected into one place [of standing], and let the dry land appear. And it was so.

10God called the dry land Earth, and the accumulated waters He called Seas. And God saw that this was good (fitting, admirable) and He approved it.

11And God said, Let the earth put forth [tender] vegetation: plants yielding seed and fruit trees yielding fruit whose seed is in itself, each according to its kind, upon the earth. And it was so.

12The earth brought forth vegetation: plants yielding seed according to their own kinds and trees bearing fruit in which was their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good (suitable, admirable) and He approved it.

13And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.

14And God said, Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be signs and tokens [of God's provident care], and [to mark] seasons, days, and years,(C)

15And let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light upon the earth. And it was so.

16And God made the two great lights--the greater light (the sun) to rule the day and the lesser light (the moon) to rule the night. He also made the stars.

17And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth,

18To rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good (fitting, pleasant) and He approved it.

19And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.

20And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly and swarm with living creatures, and let birds fly over the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.

21God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good (suitable, admirable) and He approved it.

22And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the fowl multiply in the earth.

23And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.

24And God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creeping things, and [wild] beasts of the earth according to their kinds. And it was so.

25And God made the [wild] beasts of the earth according to their kinds, and domestic animals according to their kinds, and everything that creeps upon the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good (fitting, pleasant) and He approved it.

26God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.(D)

27So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.(E)

28And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.

29And God said, See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the land and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.

30And to all the animals on the earth and to every bird of the air and to everything that creeps on the ground--to everything in which there is the breath of life--I have given every green plant for food. And it was so.

31And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good (suitable, pleasant) and He approved it completely. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.

TODAY HAS BEEN A BUSY DAY. THANK YOU LORD FOR A TIME TO SLOW DOWN AND REFRESH.I KNOW WE ALL NEED TO REST JUST AS YOU RESTED. fOR ANYONE NEEDING REST GO TO YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER AND REST IN HIS ARMS. HE IS WAITING FOR YOU AMEN

Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven. If we put God first in our lives All other things shall be added. He knows our hearts and he knows our thoughts so as long as he is first we don't have to worry about what we need or want. He will provide for us . Thank you Lord that you are first in my life and that you already know what I need and want but because you love me you still listen patiently to my prayers Amen.

Be blessed and be a blessing

Colossians 3
1IF THEN you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.(A)
2And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.

3For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.

4When Christ, Who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in [the splendor of His] glory.

5So kill (deaden, [a]deprive of power) the evil desire lurking in your members [those animal impulses and all that is earthly in you that is employed in sin]: sexual vice, impurity, sensual appetites, unholy desires, and all greed and covetousness, for that is idolatry (the deifying of self and other created things instead of God).

6It is on account of these [very sins] that the [holy] anger of God is ever coming upon the sons of disobedience (those who are obstinately opposed to the divine will),

7Among whom you also once walked, when you were living in and addicted to [such practices].

8But now put away and rid yourselves [completely] of all these things: anger, rage, bad feeling toward others, curses and slander, and foulmouthed abuse and shameful utterances from your lips!

9Do not lie to one another, for you have stripped off the old (unregenerate) self with its evil practices,

10And have clothed yourselves with the new [spiritual self], which is [ever in the process of being] renewed and remolded into [fuller and more perfect knowledge upon] knowledge after the image (the likeness) of Him Who created it.(B)

11[In this new creation all distinctions vanish.] There [c]is no room for and there can be neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, [nor difference between nations whether alien] barbarians or Scythians [[d]who are the most savage of all], nor slave or free man; but Christ is all and in all [[e]everything and everywhere, to all men, without distinction of person].

12Clothe yourselves therefore, as God's own chosen ones (His own picked representatives), [who are] purified and holy and well-beloved [by God Himself, by putting on behavior marked by] tenderhearted pity and mercy, kind feeling, a lowly opinion of yourselves, gentle ways, [and] patience [which is tireless and long-suffering, and has the power to endure whatever comes, with good temper].

13Be gentle and forbearing with one another and, if one has a difference (a grievance or complaint) against another, readily pardoning each other; even as the Lord has [freely] forgiven you, so must you also [forgive].

14And above all these [put on] love and enfold yourselves with the bond of perfectness [which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony].

15And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ's] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].

16Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts.

17And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him.

18Wives, be subject to your husbands [subordinate and adapt yourselves to them], as is right and fitting and your proper duty in the Lord.

19Husbands, love your wives [be affectionate and sympathetic with them] and do not be harsh or bitter or resentful toward them.

20Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.

21Fathers, do not provoke or irritate or fret your children [do not be hard on them or harass them], lest they become discouraged and sullen and morose and feel inferior and frustrated. [Do not break their spirit.]

22Servants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not only when their eyes are on you as pleasers of men, but in simplicity of purpose [with all your heart] because of your reverence for the Lord and as a sincere expression of your devotion to Him.

23Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,

24Knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [and not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [real] reward. [The One Whom] you are actually serving [is] the Lord Christ (the Messiah).

25For he who deals wrongfully will [reap the fruit of his folly and] be punished for his wrongdoing. And [with God] there is no partiality [no matter what a person's position may be, whether he is the slave or the master].
