I was thinking how wonderful it is to be friends with the Lord. I mean it's amazing how he becomes so real when you spend time with him. I think about the names and how personal it makes it all.

The only word I have is wow.

Be blessed and be a blessing

Cindy ~

Can you put the link to the original "Friends" song by Michael W. Smith on here? I don't know how to do it. I would love to send it to a couple of friend of mine that are having a few problems, but I would love to have it on here. This song will be played at my funeral if the Lord don't come before then :sunny:

That last one is the one! It touches my heart on so many levels. I cry everytime I hear it! It is good tears though!

28Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will [o]ease and relieve and [p]refresh [q]your souls.]

29Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest ([r]relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.(E)

30For My yoke is wholesome (useful, [t]good--not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.

Not sure what the lines are sorry

I am so glad I fell in love with you Lord. It is a lifetime relationship and more and more I realize how strong it is. I feel so safe in your arms and I feel protected. Just saying the name Jesus out loud causes the heavens to roar. How amazing and beautiful.Amen and amen.

Be blessed and be a blessing

Acts 10:43
To Him all the prophets testify (bear witness) that everyone who believes in Him [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him, giving himself up to Him] receives forgiveness of sins through His name.

Believe in him and he will not only forgive our sins but also forget them never to be remembered again. He cleanses us white as snow. He is so worthy of all praise and glory. Just worship him All I want to do is praise and bless your Holy name Lord Amen.

Be blessed and be a blessing

Just started Deuteronomy last night. I never realized that Moses fell out of favor with God and Joshua finished leading Jerusalem to the promised land. Moses lived to over 120 years old!

That's great that you are enjoying the Bible so much. :) The great thing about scripture is that you never stop learning. The things that they went through as a nation is so interesting and you can see how what they went through we are going through the same things today. And we are as rebellious as they were. They just kept turning their back on God and he kept forgiving them. He had to chastise them of course just as he chastens us today but in their case he was a bit more strict.

It was something to do with Moses hitting a rock I believe correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't remember the rock thing but I think it was like a test and Moses didn't pass. This happened right after Aaron and Miriam ( Moses siblings ) complained about Moses having such a special place with God and why they were not good enough.

I think from memory he was suppose to speak to the rock but he struck it twice and disobeyed what GOD had comanded. But it shows that people back then were no different than us and they made mistakes like we often do.

I'll have to re-read that part now. I must have been reading that part while dosing off. :sleepy:

I did a quick Google search and it sounds like you are spot on Lee.

Moses must again, in God's name, command water out of a rock for them; God is as able as ever to supply his people with what is needful for them. But Moses and Aaron acted wrong. They took much of the glory of this work of wonder to themselves; Must we fetch water? As if it were done by some power or worthiness of their own. They were to speak to the rock, but they smote it. Therefore it is charged upon them, that they did not sanctify God, that is, they did not give to him alone that glory of this miracle which was due unto his name. And being provoked by the people, Moses spoke unadvisedly with his lips. The same pride of man would still usurp the office of the appointed Mediator; and become to ourselves wisdom, righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. Such a state of sinful independence, such a rebellion of the soul against its Saviour, the voice of God condemns in every page of the gospel.

I think from memory he was suppose to speak to the rock but he struck it twice and disobeyed what GOD had comanded. But it shows that people back then were no different than us and they made mistakes like we often do.

I knew it had something to do with the rock because he was being difficult. Thanks Lee I had a feeling you would have an idea.

Thank you Lord for your word and thank you for teaching us your ways Amen.

The wonderful thing about our Lord is that his mercy endures forever. Even though we just keep falling short if we go to him and confess our sins he is quick to forget. All I can say is wow.Wouldn't it be great if we could do that.

I will lift up my eyes unto the hills from where my strength comes from. Be strong in the Lord always I am so in love with Jesus and I hunger and thirst for his righteousness Amen.

Count your blessings today and every day.

I see so many people saying "I want...", "I need...", "why can't I this...", "why can't I that...". So much focus on oneself that I felt I need to say this.

Complaining and whining begets nothing.
The Lord doesn't want to hear us complaining and whining.
He won't listen. He's too busy hearing the cries of those starving and homeless. Those who truly have nothing.
The Lord gives each one of us special gifts. These gifts are meant to help others, not ourselves.
The Lord knows a true heart, one who does and gives without thinking twice about it or expecting anything in return.
The Lord knows a false heart, one who does and gives solely for the purpose of expecting something in return.
The Lord knows a dark heart--selfish, arrogant, self-centered, egotistical, uncaring.
The Lord, as a parent, will always let us know when he is happy with us or disappointed in us.
The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.
I pray that all may come to know and have a true heart. Then we may all know paradise.
Amen
