Prayer Of The Day

Lord I just pray that today you would reveal to me something in your word. I will study your words today and I know each time I read them they somehow jump off the page and I learn something new. Teach me Lord so that I will be prepared to walk through life with an understanding for who you are and that I wil alsol be prepared to give an answer to anyone who asks about you in Jesus name I pray Amen.

I was just meditating on the verse of the day and I am so grateful that he has washed us clean by his sacrifice. He took our sins and he bore them on his body and then he was the lamb. I will never get over how someone, anyone would do that for the whole world. We are all sinners and we are all human. But God sent his son so that we might be reconciled to him and that we could be grafted into the vine along with Israel his chosen people. We can all have the gift of life if we choose to accept it. I hope if there are those out there who have not asked themselves who Jesus is that they might not wait any longer. I think about it this way. If I am right then what the Bible says is true and there is a heaven and a hell so we know the future. But if I am wrong then when we die we get put in the ground to rot. It is something to think about if you do not believe.

Lord I pray that hearts will be open to receive your message and that faith will be what takes place because we walk by faith and not by site Amen.

Be blessed and be a blessing

Good morning all and I pray we are all doing well. I can't believe we are in the month of Augest already. Time goes by so fast anymore. It seems like 2008 just started and here we are headed to the Holiday seasons already. It just reminds me of how short our lives really are. We are only on this earth for a short time. While we are here we have so many life experiences and we are so blessed just to be here. I think we can be grateful in every situation we are in because things can be good no matter what life brings our way. We know there will be tough times but there will also be good times. Life is a gift and it is a road to travel down. Make the most of this trip and enjoy what God has given you. He is your loving father and he wants you to be happy. Thank him every day no matter what takes place because we are where we are for a reason.

Be blessed and be a blessing

Well thank you Lord for this storm because we are getting the rain we needed. God will keep us safe in times of troubles and we can be thankful no matter what the outcome. Praise you Father for all that you do and all that you are.

1 John 5
1EVERYONE WHO believes (adheres to, trusts, and relies on the fact) that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah) is a born-again child of God; and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him (His offspring).
2By this we come to know (recognize and understand) that we love the children of God: when we love God and obey His commands (orders, charges)--[when we keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and His teaching].

3For the [true] love of God is this: that we do His commands [keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and teaching]. And these orders of His are not irksome (burdensome, oppressive, or grievous).

4For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.

5Who is it that is victorious over [that conquers] the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on that fact]?

6This is He Who came by (with) water and blood [[a]His baptism and His death], Jesus Christ (the Messiah)--not by (in) the water only, but by (in) the water and the blood. And it is the [Holy] Spirit Who bears witness, because the [Holy] Spirit is the Truth.

7So there are three witnesses in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are One;

8and there are three witnesses on the earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree [are in unison; their testimony coincides].

9If we accept [as we do] the testimony of men [if we are willing to take human authority], the testimony of God is greater (of stronger authority), for this is the testimony of God, even the witness which He has borne regarding His Son.

10He who believes in the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] has the testimony [possesses this divine attestation] within himself. He who does not believe God [in this way] has made Him out to be and represented Him as a liar, because he has not believed (put his faith in, adhered to, and relied on) the evidence (the testimony) that God has borne regarding His Son.

11And this is that testimony (that evidence): God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

12He who possesses the Son has that life; he who does not possess the Son of God does not have that life.

13I write this to you who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) the name of the Son of God [in [c]the peculiar services and blessings conferred by Him on men], so that you may know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have life, [d]yes, eternal life.

14And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us.

15And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.

16If anyone sees his brother [believer] committing a sin that does not [lead to] death (the extinguishing of life), he will pray and [God] will give him life [yes, He will grant life to all those whose sin is not one leading to death]. There is a sin [that leads] to death; I do not say that one should pray for that.

17All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin which does not [involve] death [that may be repented of and forgiven].

18We know [absolutely] that anyone born of God does not [deliberately and knowingly] practice committing sin, but the One Who was begotten of God carefully watches over and protects him [Christ's divine presence within him preserves him against the evil], and the wicked one does not lay hold (get a grip) on him or touch [him].

19We know [positively] that we are of God, and the whole world [around us] is under the power of the evil one.

20And we [have seen and] know [positively] that the Son of God has [actually] come to this world and has given us understanding and insight [progressively] to perceive (recognize) and come to know better and more clearly Him Who is true; and we are in Him Who is true--in His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah). This [Man] is the true God and Life eternal.

21Little children, keep yourselves from idols (false gods)--[from anything and everything that would occupy the place in your heart due to God, from any sort of substitute for Him that would take first place in your life]. Amen (so let it be).

Lord I bless you this morning and thank you for your guidance in my life and for your confort in times of trouble but I also know that with the love you give me that I have to come to you and ask for forgiveness when I have sinned. We are all sinners but we can come to you and ask for forgiveness and if we repent you wash us whiter than snow. You are a righteous judge and we have to walk upright before you. Bless this day and teach me in your word how to be a faithful child Amen.

We have to remember that yes God is a loving Father but he will also judge this world for the sin it commits. Today we hear a lot of pastors who only preach politically correct sermons and prosperity sermons but they leave out the parts in the Bible that talk and warn about sin and the consequences of not turning away from that sin. Don't listen to lies from someone who will not preach the truth. Study your Bible and know that God must judge the world for sin or he would himself be a liar if he did not. But God is not a man that he should lie. Turn from sin and follow Jesus.

I have been asked before why does God let bad things happen? I can say that I heard a good way of explaining it the other day. When God created the earth it was perfect and one day it will be perfect again but when man saw that there was good and evil he made the choice to listen to Satan and at that point sin entered the world. Satan was able to deceive both Adam and Eve and man is now ashamed of what he has done. Because Satan was able to tempt them he now has power to cause bad things to happen and so God may allow things to happen but it grieves him. But soon Jesus will return and set things right because Christians will be reconciled to God along with his chosen people.

So God doesn't do bad things Satan does.

Lord I pray that we turn our backs on Satan because he has no power over us when we belong to you. The Bible says we shall see him as he is one day and we will say is this the one that caused all this turmoil. Thank you LORD for your son Jesus who will make all things right when he returns in Jesus name Amen.

For the family of Brnie Mac my prayers are with you all and I know he will be missed by many. Somehow I believe Bernie is with the father now and he is at peace.

Let's just worship him today. Everyone listen to praise and worship music because he is so worthy and he deserves it. LORD we will sing glory and praises to your name and worship you with all our hearts for you are worthy most high God.

Today's Verse:
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Todays verse of the day and how interesting is that because I have been doing a lot of study lately about this very verse. This is as plain as it gets in Bible verses. No double meaning just that he will come to claim the church. I enjoy prophecy studies and this is one of the main verses dealing with the rapture. I say come LORD come Amen

Hubby has been on vacation this weak and we have been doing projects around the house. LORD watch over us all today and keep us safe. I am studying prophecy the last few nights and it is so amazing to see how todays events fit into what the Bible predicts will happen. Take the time to study the word and grow in his teachings.

It is well with my soul. Remember this when you are having a hard time of things and things may be overwhelming. It is well with my soul. We can know with Christ all things can be well with us and we are going to be alright. Put your trust in him and he will be with you. It is well with my soul Amen.

Good morning all :sunny: I hope that the sun is always shining in your heart no matter what.

I just wanted to say a prayer for what is taking place in our world today with all the wars and natural disasters and our economy. I mainly want to ask that the LORD be in this situation with Russia and Georgia. I pray for those traveling there with humanitarian aid. We know the Bible talks about wars and rumors of wars in the last days and all we have to do is listen to the news and realize this is taking place. It's amazing to me that if you want to know what's going to happen in the future all you have to do is read the Bible. It's all there and the places that are at war right now are the ones who are the key players mentioned. Think about Israel and how we have been hearing about the middle east for as long as I can remember. This is because it was prophesied over 3000 years ago.

LORD I pray that you are with us each day as we see these situations escalate and that we recognize the signs of the times. I ask that if anyone does not know you that they take the time to find out about you and what you promise to those who serve you. You are the answer to all our needs and concerns in Jesus name I pray Amen.

Be blessed and be a blessing

There appears to be a cease fire between Russia and Georgia. I do hope it will be honored.

LORD we ask that you be with all of us in this time of uncertain wars and rumors of wars. We know that your word tells us that these things will happen but if we are obedient to you we will be protected. Thank you for protection in these dangerous times Amen.

Last night I heard a wonderful sermon about feeling as though you had been forgiven for your sins by God. Sometimes we tend to say but you don't know what I did LORD. You could never forgive me. But the thing is that if we confess our sins he does forgive us and he washes us whiter than snow. If we can think of it this way it may help some of you. He is the one who clothes us now. When Satan goes before the throne of God and accuses us daily Jesus is there saying but they belong to me and I have covered them with my blood. He is who we must put on when we receive him and he has truly forgiven us when we confess our sins and turn from our wicked ways.

I used to feel I had to ask for forgiveness over and over for the same things but I don't anymore because I know in my heart he has forgiven me. I have done some terrible things but I am clean praise God Amen.

Today's Verse:
...at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:10,11 / KJV

This is exactly what will happen when Christ returns to rule and reign on the earth. There will be no denying who he is. What a day that will be. I take such confort in bowing to him now in prayer and worship. When I need or want to be with him I hit the floor for he is worthy. Don't wait to get down on your knees do it now and do it often.

Be blessed and be a blessing.
