Make a Suggestion Thread

IMHO, If the entry is per person per day, the listing shouldn't need to have it posted because that's the norm.

When there are limits it needs to be noted - like per HH, on PST/CST, etc.

If I add a sweeps, I note it in the listing or after the end date if it is on a time zone other than EST - the other norm.
I agree. I have been putting it in the comments this morning and its very time consuming. I think I will only put things like the per hh thing. I dont want gsw to get mad at me. Im sure she is wanting to strangle me this morning. sorry gsw.

We could probably add a field to the submission form where we could note "one per email" or "one per houseold" and then display this in the listings. Does this make sense? If yes.. this is probably an easy change and it would help accuracy and improve odds of winning. :)

sweepsadv- Bless you. It would be so helpful to have 1 per person, 1 per household or 1 per email or combinations incorporated in each sweepstakes. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Can you think of all the combinations and note them for me here? I want to create a drop down list on the submission form to make it easier for the editors. Thanks!

sweepsadv - Here is a workable list:

(1)"1 per person"; (2)"1 per email"; (3)"1 per house"; (4)"1 per person/per email" (which means only one entry per person and that two or more people cannot use the same email addy); (5)"1 per person/household/IP"; (6)"1 per person/email/computer"; and (7)"?" (there are some sweeps that sponsors don't mention how to enter and they would be represented with "?" The question mark would show that the info wasn't left out by error. Last, but not least (8) A BLANK SPACE for copying and pasting right from the rules. The "blank" would be for complicated or rare cases. (Some sweeps allow 3 entries per day per person. Some popular ones allow 20x per day per person. Some allow you to enter daily but limit to say "49 entries total." There may be some weird combo that I missed. This is where the "blank space will come in handy.)

There are other combos such as "1 per person/per household";"1 per email/per household" and "1 per person/per email/per household. They are all just 1 per household, too. So the "1 per household" category would do for them but you can add them separately if you like.

Some sweeps allow 3 entries per day per person. Some popular ones allow 20 entries per day per person. Some allow you to enter daily but limit each person to "49 entries total." This is where the "blank space will come in handy.

There is no need to list with the word "daily, weekly etc. " for this purpose: "daily 1 per person" etc. as SA lists sweeps under the correct category heading such as "daily" "weekly", etc.

If you abbreviate, consider "1 per person" as "1 pp" or capitalize it: "1 PP." However, I would suggest not abbreviating "1 per email"or if abbreviated, do it as follows: "1 per E' or "1 per e" (not "1 PE" as it would look like "1 person/email") "1 per household" should be abbreviated as "1 per HH" (not "1 PH" or "1 PHH" as it would look like "1 per person/household.")

If anybody can add to this list, please reply here. Thanks.

P.S. To make it easier, you can just do the first four: (1)"1 per person"; (2)"1 per email"; (3)"1 per house"; (4)"1 per person/per email" That will pretty much cover most of it and the "Blank space" will be for all of the others. Thanks again.

I think we'll be doing this. (1)"1 per person"; (2)"1 per email"; (3)"1 per house"; (4)"1 per person/per email and blank space. Thanks for the feedback. :)

We can create a new joke forum if everyone thinks they will regularly contribute. :)

There could be a prize drawing for members who post sweepstakes using the official sweeps listing form. I know how to find 10-15 at a time, so I would win this. (tee-hee)

More members would post sweepstakes with this inducement. :sunny:
