feeling discouraged

:cry: reading winner circle posts are making me feel bad. everyone is talking about how much they've won. i have been doing this for awhile. The dailies for just a couple months but expiring and instants for years! i hardly win anything! never anything over $50! years ago, when i first started sweeping i won a trip i had to decline. now nothing!

need some tips or something! what am i doing wrong? is everyone really using more than one addy for themselves?
 
dont get discouraged. This year hasnt been great for me either until this last month. You gotta just keep entering. how many dailies are you doing? are you entering every day? I use one email addy. The one I use for everything. I didnt think to set up a different email when I started doing this. duh! :laughing:

Some people enter more than others so they win more. Some only enter a few times a week. I enter hundreds every single day. Even on days when I dont want to. Some days I have to force myself to enter.

The wins will come if you are patient and enter, enter and then enter some more. look for sweeps with low hit counts, make sure you do the expiring, and do the dailies every day. also the 1X entries. are you doing those?

Enter alot, and enter them diligently and as often as allowed. I average about one prize per 700 entries. Of course, don't enter for things you have absolutely no use for! :cheers:
 
Don't give up. If you are discouraged, take a short break and come back refreshed. Make sure you enter the instants everyday and change the times you enter them, cut back on how many dailies you enter, I know those burn me out quick if I do them constantly.

i'm entering every single one i know about where the prize interests me. I'm a sahm so I do them while my baby sleeps. I get up a couple hours before her, she naps about two hours and I go te bed a couple hours after her. I do them them like its my job. But I have had to become a closet sweeper because my family is starting to make fun of me all the time. I feel foolish. I'm hoping when I do win big.. if I do win anything even remotely cool... then I'll be vindicated! at least my husband is cool with it. Does anyone else ever get teased about their sweeping??
 
No one ever makes fun of my sweeping. They're actually impressed, and it does equate to a lucrative income for us. When my husband calls me each day, he usually will ask me what I've won for that day!
 
well, don't feel bad! i don't enter nearly enough to win but maybe once a month - if im lucky.

i just can't get over the people that enter hundreds a day. i fart around for an hour and thats all about i can handle.

I use to get the eye roll. Its ok though. When you win big and you will. Then you can sit back and say see, I told ya. DO NOT give up. you gotta be positive. Go in the winners circle, congratulate the winners and then go about your normal sweeping. It helps. I make sure I congratulate every winner. It makes me feel better to see others winning. I know even though I may not have won today I could win tomorrow.

ya gotta stop farting around :laughing: Its not so bad if you have a system. I use robo pro which helps alot. I put on some kick a** music and just get them done. maybe you could do them in spurts. sweep for an hour then take a break and come back later and do some more.
 
Yep, I don't sit there either nonstop to go through them all at once. I'm back and forth doing other things like dancing around the kitchen! :crazytongue:

And these magazine/ website dailies: Intouch, Life&style, redbook, bella online, celebrity cafe,marie claire, woman's day, pointclick home, craft bits, enquirer, country weekly, natural health mag, rachael ray, tyra. Am I missing some good ones??? :scratch:

with the exception of craft bits and natural health all of the ones listed are hard to win from. Everyone enters those :laughing: you are entering some of the smaller sweeps from small websites like comics2film, dvd verdict, etc..? you have to spread your entries around. Dont enter for stuff you dont want of course but smaller websites have fewer entries and usually ship wins alot faster than the bigger sites. In my experience anyway.
 
You are not the only person who does not win often. So far this year I won a Chocolate Sweepstakes & Giveaways bunny and a Raw natural beauty gc (however, found out the company possibly a scam and to be careful with them) so don't even know if I will use that gc.

I couldn't believe 700-1000 sweeps a day, how do you possibly find the time, that is a full time job! I counted the total daily/24 hour/instants I'm entering right now and it is 50. I didn't count the weekly/1 time entries since they are not everyday. I guess that is why I'm not winning but I am also playing only for things I need, which is basically cash and gc. I don't want DVDs, t-shirts, or computer games so that leaves out a lot of sweeps. Some times the European vacations but the value must really cover the cost of the trip.

I don't have a job where I can go on the internet and enter sweeps during the day so I'm limited to 1/2 in the am and whatever I can squeeze in between dinner and bed time.

No, not a full-time job. God knows, I don't have that type of time in the day with two little ones and all I have to do around here. With Roboform Pro, it's about 3 to 3 1/2 per day. Before Roboform ever came out, I only did about 100 to 150 per day--tops!

I'm not going to tell anybody not to feel discouraged because we all do. Keeping going or not during a long dry is where the hardcore sweepers and the mere players show their mettle. This is not an easy hobby or meant for everyone.
 
Being discouraged is part of sweeping. lol.

I swear if you WHINE constantly, you win more.

And there are a few threads where you can whine about it.

Whine away.... we'll bring the cheese (Except Wolfie, who seems to only bring chocolate to our whining meetings)
 
:wave: Try not to get discouraged - it will happen, you will win a big one. I haven't been very lucky lately. I have won some small stuff, but I haven't been winning as regularly as I did last year. I also get a little discouraged when I read the post lately. There are some great instant wins and it seems like everyone but me is winning on them. Like everyone says - enter them, congratulate the winners and move on. What is meant to be will be. If it is meant for you to win it, you will - whether you have entered once or a thousand times. Just enter and forget it. :cheers: Here's hoping to big wins for all!! Good luck!
