Okay, here is my weekly recap:

Ramiele Malubay: sang "Alone", by Heart; the beginning of the song was too softly sung, which seemed a bit pitchy as well. It was the wrong song choice for her voice.
Jason Castro: sang " How Fragile We Are", by Sting; a decent performance. The dreads really need to disappear.
Syesha Mercado: sang "If I Were Your Woman"; a good performance overall.
Chikezie: sang "If Only For One Night"; a nice solid performance.
Brooke White: sang "Every Breath You Take", by The Police; the song started off good, but then....I did, however like her professionalism when she started the song off in the wrong key. She stopped the song and started again -- well done.
Michael Johns: sang "We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions" medly by Queen; yet another Queen song from Michael; I thought it a very nice performance...a great song for his vocal range.
Carly Smithson: sang "Total Eclipse of the Heart", by Bonnie Raitt? (Taylor?); I thought it was well done! I love her strong rock vocals.
David Archuleta: sang something...couldn't catch the title, and the song was unfamiliar to me; a good performance but certainly not his best. I agree with others here that David should stick with ballads. He can make hearts melt. He's still my cinnamon-sweetie!
Kristy Lee Cook: sang "God Bless The USA", by Lee Greenwood; a very nice, respective song; a bit pitch in spots, but overall well-done!
David Cook: sang "Billie Jean"; an outstanding performance!! An interesting song rendition originally sung by Michael Jackson; hot, hot, hot!

I predict that the bottom THREE tonight will be: Ramiele Malubay, Syesha Mercado, and Brooke White. I predict that Ramiele will get the boot tonight. The show comes on in less than 30 minutes here, so we will see.... opcorn:

I think Carly is getting caught in a bad place here and is stuck... Brooke won't be there yet...she is to vanilla and I think America is crazy over her...she will ride a long way with that, just like Jason!

Okay ~ I am surprised! I think them saying that Ramiele was sick was what saved her... I hated to see Chikezie go though...I would have rather have seen Ramiele or Kristy go

Was surprised to see Jason down there, knew he wouldn't go...maybe that will wake him up a little bit!

A little surprised here too. Ramiele screamed that song. They always say they are sick when they sound like crap. I feel so bad for syesha. no matter what she does she is in the bottom.

Maybe he was trying to convince her to watch a R rated movie with him. opcorn: oh, do yall notice that the rarely show carly's whole body when she sings.. they do the long shot of everyone but her. why? well, because she moves funny. kinda like she is...hmmm, there is no way to put this.. she moves her hips in a elvis kinda way. hows that. :laughing: especially if its a faster song she is singing.

wow! does dolly parton ever age? :scratch: anyway. Loved David Cook as usual and of course Michael Johns. David A was alright. Jason is soooo boring. omg! Cant stand kristi and brooke they both were not good. Ramiele(sp).. not good. I think it will either be her or syeshia going home this week. syeshia would have been better off doing dolly's verison of the song instead of whitneys.

I thought David A. was amazing last night! I have listened to him over and over and it is just so good!! David Cook was really good, but I have to say that I liked Michael Johns better last night close call!!

As bad as I didn't like some of the others I HATED RAMI AGAIN!!! I think she has taken the place of Kristy for me and that is terrible to say after how badly I wanted that girl to go! So now I think that Rami should go this week.

With Rami being (I hope) voted out...knowing my luck at guessing though it will be Syesha!

David Cook: sang "Little Sparrow"; very good performance; nice use of his falsetto on the song.
Ramiele Malubay: sang "Do I Ever Cross Your Mind"; pitchy in places; weak voice throughout much of the song.
Jason Castro: sang "Traveling Through"; a so-so performance; he just cannot seem to get away from using his guitar to sing; once again, the dreadlocks need to go! (they probably need a good washing as well)

Hey sticks...have you been seeing all the press about David A's dad? They had a piece a couple of days ago on the Today show saying what a pain in the butt he is being toward everyone...including David! When Simon made the comment last week about he wouldn't be surprised if David didn't choose that song himself...it was directed directly at his dad. They said that it even goes beyond the "strict" Dad type thing. Another place on the internet said that he is putting so much pressure on David that they are afraid that he is gonna crack...said that is the ultimate reason that he ended up losing the Star Search competition before!!!

I like him anyway...now I hope he does well, get his own contract and is able to get away from him if that is what he needs!!!

Thank you! I felt that those three are the weakest finalists. As for David, I had not heard about David's dad and all that...wow. Poor David...I hope he doesn't crack and can maintain the strength he needs to be the winner. It sounds like the dad is a major butt...and is trying to take advantage of David's popularity and prospects of financial gain. :cussing: If David makes it to the final two...he should file for emancipation as an adult and move the hell away from daddy's reach.

I just happen to have room in my home for David. I would be happy to support him vocally and emotionally as he becomes the shining star he is meant to be.
