American Idol

I love david cook also :headbang: He has such a nice voice. Chikezie surprised me. He was very good. david hernandez and david A were awful. I like carly, very nice voice. I dont like brooke! I know she has a nice voice and all but something about her. I think its the oh, I have NEVER watched an R rated movie. Whatever!!!!! look everyone its juice newton. And that Krisiti... omg! why is she on the show. That performance made me cringe. One of the worse I have ever seen on the show. I like amanda. That screeching though is going to get old quick. most of the people were forgettable last night even my fav michael.

I did find out that David A. had strep throat...doesn't explain it all, but he still wasn't as bad as Kristy! When Paula says it is bad, then you know you really really stank!

For all those routing for Jason Castro. Thanks. My business manager at the dental office I work at used to babysit him. Pretty cool and exciting to actually know a contestant.

I swear he looks just like a good friend of mines daughter...and I don't mean that in a bad way ~ I think he is adorable just like she is. They look like they could be brother and sister! He is really talented and has such a fanbase...I think he is going to go a long long way!! He just looks like a real sweet kid!

Im happy david H is gone but kristi should have left first. :nono: She is awful. AWFUL!!!!... The hotties are still there so im happy.

My recap of A.I. Top 12 for 3/10/08:

Syesha Mercado: sang "Got to Get You Into My Life"; started off flat...not her best performance.
Chikezie: sang "She's A Woman"; great performance! Great rendition of the song.
Ramiele Malubay: sang "In My Life"; a decent karaoke performance...I wasn't impressed.
Jason Castro: sang " If I Fell"; another decent performance; not his best.
Carly Smithson: sang "Come Together"; great job! Super rendition w/a strong rock/blues tinge.
David Cook: sang "Eleanor Rigby"; not his best performance...started off dull and flat, but he did manage to pull it off towards the end of the song w/his strong rock vocals.
Brooke White: sang "Let It Be"; a nice performance; pretty rendition of the song.
David Hernandez: "I Saw Her Standing There"; a decent performance; a bit pitchy in places.
Amanda Overmyer: sang "You Can't Do That"; great rocking performance w/that Janice Joplin voice; werewolf hair has returned...LOL
Michael Johns: sang "Across the Universe"; a so-so performance; a bit boring.
Kristy Lee Cook: sang "Eight Days A Week"; good country rendition; great country vocals.
David Archuleta: sang "We Can Work It Out"; oooh...couldn't remember some of the song lyrics; didn't seem comfortable w/ the song & it showed.

========================================================================

My sweetie David Archuleta didn't do so well this time...it seems he had strep throat, plus he admitted before he sang that he wasn't comfortable with Beatle's songs. That's okay David, I'll take care of you, feed you chicken soup, fluff your pillow, etc. :)

I love watching American Idol. I think my faves are:
David A., (though he wasn't too good last week), and David Cook (didn't like him much at first, but he has "wowed" me lately!).

Jason Castro - I'm fascinated! I like the twists he puts on songs. It's funny - my 18 year old son knew the song. Kids today are listening to some of the old "classics" of our time.

Kristy OMG I was so embarassed for her! That was horrible. Like a performance from Hee Haw. They said lean on the country side, but that was really over the top!

Carly I don't care for, although she did better last week. I think she is too rough around the edges and she always sounds the same. Her sound got old really quick.

I like Brook a bit - she's different and I think she has a neat voice (yes, Juice Newton & Carly Simon do ring a bell!!)

They keep touting that "this is the best group in Idol history". I disagree. I loved the season with Carrie Underwood and I LOVED BO BICE. I don't think this group is as great as some in the past...just m opinion!

I think its going to be good when they get down to the last 4. We are finding it hard to vote for anyone.

I don't usually share dreams cuz I have some reeeeeeeally weird ones on my bipolar meds. But, last night I dreamed Simon Cowell & I were in love and having wild, passionate sex. Then, we killed Britney Spears. I kid you not. What does this MEAN? :crazytongue:

hmmm... not sure what it means but hey, whats the name of that medicine? just kidding. I have weird dreams without adding medication to the mix. oh, how did ya kill spears. It had something to do with the hair extensions didnt it.

My update for 3/18/08:

Amanda Overmyer: sang "Back In The U.S.S.R."; performance was okay; was a bit pitchy.
Kristy Lee Cook: sang "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away"; boring performance!
David Archuleta: sang "The Long And Winding Road"; another awesome performance from my sweetie! He came back from a dismal performance last week...and, IMO, is one of only four persons who sang well this night....
Michael Johns: sang "A Day In The Life"; song started out rough and ended as a so-so performance.
Brooke White: sang "Here Comes The Sun"; a decent job, nothing exciting.
David Cook: sang "Day Tripper"; hell yeah! A rocking performance...well done.
Carly Smithson: sang "Blackbird"; a very nice rendition of the song; I love her strong voice.
John Castro: sang "Michelle"; nice performance but lacked the intimacy the song demands.
Sysesha Mercado: sang "Yesterday"; nice job; pretty vocals.
Chikezie: sang "I've Just Seen A Face"; he turned the song into a country song; his short rift with a harmonica was odd; not his best.
Ramiele Malubay: sang "I Should Have Known Better"; a bit pitchy in places.

==================================================================================================

Okay, this week pretty much sucked. The song choices and performances were, for the most part, really lacking. The bright spots for me this week are: David Archuleta, David Cook, and Carly Smithson. Well done!

If it hadn't have been for the David's last night...I am glad that are done with these two weeks ~ they really pushed it to far!

Now who goes home? I really didn't like Kristy Lee Cook again, but I am not hopeful that she is going home after last week...I still have my fingers crossed though!

I'm really getting irritated with this show :cussing: carly in the bottom three, amanda going home and non singing kristi still there? WTH?????
This is a singing competition not a competition about who people think would look better naked alright. kristi is cute I will give her that but she CANNOT sing. hellllllllooooooooooo. She is only still there because of the way she looks. period. what a joke.

WOW ~ I Loved David Cook tonight again! He is so good! Michael John was really good tonight as well...

I think Rami will go home tomorrow night. I know she was sick, but she just has been coasting the last few weeks...

david cook was the best tonight. really nice voice, cute..but, he is starting to look a little smug to me. Thats not attractive. :nono: All the chicks but carly could go home and it wouldnt hurt my feelings. And what is up with David A.. he picks the weirdest songs. Everytime Jason Castro talks I think to myself step away from the bong ok!.. all in all im getting bored with it. If it wasnt for david cook and michael johns I wouldnt be watching at all.

If it wasnt for david cook and michael johns I wouldnt be watching at all.

Dave Cook was off the hook momma of 3..... Loved it.. I made my fiance rewind it 4 times..... I may even like it better than Michael Jacksons original.....And I still love me some Michael Johns... MMMMMmmmmmmm

I like the Archuleta kid. He's got an amazing voice but it seems he's not able to use it with faster paced songs. He's got a natural lag that seems to throw him off. Get him singing those ballads though and wow!
Cook is workin' those song arrangements! That Billy Jean thing was nuts. He's got the potential to take the whole thing. I just hope he doesn't get too full of himself as he seems a little cocky at times.

Michael Johns is great too but I think he's picking songs that are just a bit too big for him. Not vocally...just songs that don't rearrange well. I think he's trying to out do Cook each week and forgets to find songs that he can wail on.

As for the girls: Syesha is my favorite she's getting into her groove now. I see her ast top 4 easily. Carly started out strong and seems to have lost her confidence. Brooke is very talented and should make it to the top 6. Rami or Kristy is gone this week if not then it's that mousy sounding Castro kid.

Jason isn't going anywhere for awhile ~ he has to many female fans! I think it will be Rami this week just due to the fact of that Kristy sang "Proud to Be An American" and she did a better job than she has in a while...

Syesha did a much better job than she has in week ~ she and Carly are the strongest girls, but Carly wasn't good last night and people are looking for a reason to punish her. I think she will be in the bottom three again tonight.

David A. is trying to mix it up and sing a faster pace song and it really doesn't fit his style...he is definately a ballad singer ~ he can sing the heck out of any ballad! I love to hear his voice ~ it has warm tones ~ he is gonna be a star...there is no doubt in my mind!

David Cook has the talent to win it all ~ I hope in a way that he does. Like I said, David A. is gonna be a star no matter what happens, and a rocker hasn't won AI yet so this would be a great year for it...he has a wonderful talent and voice! Love to hear him!
