I apologize if this has been posted before; I searched and can't find a definitive answer.

I have been doing this for awhile now without any wins, and I've been very patient about it; however, I use Yahoo and I was recently told that some sweeps do not like Yahoo email addresses & will not accept them because they consider them "throw away" addresses, etc.

I am contemplating moving my sweeping over to gmail or some other service but, before I make such a drastic move, I would really like to know if this is true. I don't want to waste my time and go through the hassle if this is just speculation. If it is true, how the heck do you go about switching to a new email without disqualifying yourself?

:sunny: Good news! I have been doing this many years with a yahoo email account. I can assure you that I get plenty of wins at that email account account. Don't waste your time switching email accounts, spend it entering more sweeps. Sometimes it takes a while to get the win machine working, but if you prime it enough they will come. Does anyone know if SWEEPSTAKES consider a Hotmail account a throw-away email? It's a very old email account, I used to use it as my main email address but over the years it was just getting swamped w/ Spam, so I eventually created a GMAIL account for my main use. Since this one already existed, I've been using it for Sweeps. But hearing about this throw-away problem, I'm wondering if anyone knows if this is considered one??
 
I think as long as an email is legitimate, ie. emails go through and its something that you check and respond to when sponsors email you, its fine. Lots of people hold onto old email accounts like hotmail, msn, gmail and etc. I wouldn't worry about it.
