I couldn't agree with you more Mozicat...I entered Borden's Sensational Stories where you nominate someone who has done good for the community and I nominated Marietta with the following...

What would you do if you found out that the town's Commissioners secretly voted to allow pets at the Animal Control Center to be sold to laboratories? Would you rally volunteers to hand out thousands of flyers? Or spend hours on the phone talking to city officials? Put together a action plan to help the AC reduce the number of animals euthanize due to overcrowding? Marietta did all this an more! As a result, the community rallied and got the decision reversed and in this single sensational act helped save hundreds of pets from a horrible death and she hasn't stopped there! SHE IS SENSATIONAL!

WE WON FIRST ROUND!!! She received a $100 gift card (so did I) but I was so much happier for her. Even though I am unemployed like her, she isn't well and now that we have a 1 in 20 chance to win groceries for a year in the final voting in August. I don't know much people to ask them to vote everyday...but I am going to try my best. I am more excited for her than me to win. She is so wonderful and it just makes a win so much more special when you can share or bring that happiness to others. It is a beautiful thing! :sunny:
