Location location location - AFAIK the Federal gov't does not require banks to offer notary public service to NON customers - but it could be that where you are the local/State gov't might and/or the bank may choose to offer notary public service to NON customers
Chase Banks as well as other financial institutions offer notary public service to customers.
Some charge fees others will provide free service if the participant is a current customer of the bank.
Bottom line - most will offer free notary to customers & charge a nominal fee for NON customers
*I go to mail stores [after calling to make sure notary works that day} and have paid $5 to $10 for the service
Hmmm I don't know if there's any regulations about that in Arizona but I remember being in Chase and they specifically said, "This is a free service that Chase offers everyone."
When I go in I sign my name on the sign in sheet, sit down and wait to be called, then go get my affy notarized. They've never asked if I'm a customer or not.
There's none in my area but TD Bank also does this free for everyone: https://www.tdbank.com/tdhelps/defa...ee-notary-services-for-the-public/v/38948419/
