Winners...how many contests do you enter?

I've been a casual sweeper for a few years, but I have never won anything. I go in phases, I'll enter 10-15 per day for a month or two and then get discouraged and quit for a few months and then start the cycle over again. I focus mainly on the Expiring Soon.

Second question, I just read thru the site for the WinForMe program, is this recommended? I don't want to get DQed, but it's tempting to have a program do the work for me.

WinForMe:

Does anyone use automatic entry programs?

automatic entry does enter you in a lot of sweeps , problem is most sweeps that they enter DQ because of the entry, that is why many judging agencies and sponsors use a code that must be entered or make it where some info is placed wrong on the form making it a bad entry, you are best off using robo-form or any form filler to enter sweeps with.Robo using passscards is fast if you enter 100's of sweeps at a time.

I've seen some posts that some sweepers like to enter for themselves, and then perhaps for a spouse in the home. How do you know if this is okay and won't get you disqualified? Does 1 entry per day/per email mean the same as 1 per household? Just a little confused about the terminology and when it is okay to enter your spouse/child, etc. Does anyone have a better handle on this than me?? :)

About 800 to 1,000 per day with Roboform Pro! :headbang: Prize wins are very, very consistent at that amount! :)

I have to say I enter anywhere from 300-800 a day and my wins are all small and not even monthly. Is it just that I am entering at the wrong time of day (usually after 8 pm) or what? I enter IWG, daily, one entry, weekly, and monthly. I use Roboform too. Not much luck at love either. ROFLOL

how do you even find that many you want to enter? I can only find maybe 100 that are worthwhile. Maybe with twitter RT it can go up to 200.

I enter as many sweeps as I can per day, it only makes sense, the more you enter, the better chance

I tried entering for my mom when I started, but I was worried her having a different home address would DQ me. Turned out that was a lie told by the "one entry, NO exceptions" crowd :nono:

Too much misinformation mixed in with tons of good info was my intro to sweeping. I MUCH prefer people leave their opinions/prejudices at home when "helping" you know?

As far as who I enter for? Mostly myself, but I help out my guys when needed - my husband works crazy hours (7 on before he gets 1, 2 1/2, or 4 days off) so I check all the new sweeps for limits (per HH, 21+, license, etc) and bookmark in FF the ones they can enter.

IMHO, the sponsors are more concerned with people entering numerous times for themselves, with multiple email addys, than if mom or dad enters for their kids/spouses/etc.

Like anything, there is potential for abuse - like entering everyone in your neighborhood, all your family/friends, etc.

Letting other sweepers know that the rules say 1 per HH is a LOT different than telling other sweepers they are breaking the rules if they enter for someone else in their HH. Most people will be afraid to admit they do, thinking they could be DQ'ed, or that others would disapprove :crazytongue:

What time of the day you enter doesn't make a difference, but there is a difference between entering 300 a day or entering 800 a day. If you stay consistent at the upper number of 800+, you should see the wins pick up a lot more; and you have to keep consistent on entering. I started to see a changeover in prize wins once I got up to 700+ per day.

Thanks so much Amy! You really helped to clarify how this all works! :sunny:

Oh good leeleef - I meant to come back and more directly address your question

In 2004 or 2005, at another sweeps site, I almost got DQ'd from an IW because my DH won, and I kept entering, thinking it was 1ppp not 1pphh {and it was listed as 1ppp at the time} and that got me reading the rules.

Now the first thing I do is be the "gatekeeper" - I ID the sweeps we'd be interested in, determine limits, and unless it's a trip, only I enter the per HH sweeps. I also track and ID those sweeps that are 1pphh, so if my DH or DS win, I know we are all to stop entering.

As long as you have different names, and email addys, you are both {or all of your family members that are eligible for a given sweeps} are allowed to enter the 1pp sweeps. :)

My granddaughter lives with me and uses my computer (she does not have her own). She wants to enter contests, but will have to use my computer. Her name and email address is different than mine. Will she be dq'd (or, for that matter, will I be, too) because her IP address will be the same as mine? She will not enter the per household contests. Hope I made myself clear. Thanks for all the past you've given in the past!

What sponsors care about is getting "face time" - they use their ad $$$ to run these promos, so as long as she doesn't enter sweeps that are 1phh that you did enter/plan to enter, it's fine. :)

The important info is home and email addys - your IP addy is rarely important, and if it is, it's defined as a 1phh anyway. :)

robo form works AMAZING for me!
not only for sweeping but for ordering free samples
also for some of the instant wins you have to make a password for a login so when i sweep i use firefox(it asks you if you want it to remember the password for what ever site your logining in to its a big time saver for me!)good luck<3

Roboform also saves passwords. Also, when you save the form to Roboform filled out correctly, all the information is saved as is as a passcard. So, you don't have to worry about remembering anything to be filled out after the initial entry; unless, of course, it's a "flash" form. :)

I enter everyday. It is my "free" gambling. About 200-250 per day. I win quite often, yet not always large dollar values, but is is fun!! I love waiting for UPS or FedEx. I do it for the fun, not always the amount or the prize. i ONLY enter for things I want, not to sell. My kids have been the best about it, because they get most of the wins. The most important thing to remember is HAVE FUN!! When it becomes a job, it's not worth it. Just my opinion.
