WILL I WIN???????

I have been entering for about a month now....About 3 hours a day...mostly the "one entry" type sweeps. I have had no response. Way back in the day before you could do sweeps on the computer I subscribed to a "contest newsletter" that came every month. I did that for awhile..I remember I won a t-shirt from Hawaiian punch, a wall picture from seagrams and a basketball. That was many many years ago. I was thrilled to find that I can sweeps on line now. Stamps are SO expensive and I was always buying envelopes and cards etc. This is much easier. I am just surprised I haven't won anything...:(
I get a ton of junk mail now and delete it with out looking at it mostly...would they typically send me an e-mail if I won something. I guess I am just looking for some encouragement. I actually enjoy my time on line trying to win..it's very addicting. I think I will be completely hooked on it if I ever win. What's up with the "instant win games" What's it all about? Maybe I would have better luck with that. Thanks

:sunny: If you remain persistant, consistant and patient you will win! By all means try the instant wins if you haven't already. Just go to the Jump to above and click on instant win or go to the Home page and click on Instant wins. There are alot of prizes to be won and it could be you that claims some of them! Best of luck to you! We will anxiously wait for you to be posting that first win!

Most of my wins I have been notified via email. After a while of doing this you know what a real winning email looks like and what is spam. You need to look closely at your emails. don't just start deleting.

Try the instants. Most of my wins have been from them. I love the instants. like pmeek says you have to be persistent. It may takes months to be notified of a win. you have to be prepared for dry times when you aren't winning anything. I hope to see ya posting in the winners circle very soon. good luck to ya.

Make sure you are using Roboform Pro. You just can't sweep very well without it. You really need to get entries in alot of sweepstakes. The more sweepstakes you do, the more prizes you will win. I average one prize for approximately 700+ entries, and I do probably around 800 to 1,000 per day.

Here is my two cents worth – for what it is worth:
One month is not very long when you are entering sweeps.
It takes awhile for the sweepstakes to end; then more time before they pick a winner; then even more time for them to notify you. I would give it a good three to four months before expecting a real win.
Remember to enjoy.

All good advice, I'll just add...

Sweeping is a hobby that is all about timing. Especially for those elusive instants! IF you enter at the exact right moment, you will win. If not? Sad to say you won't. But I assure you - it's nothing personal, and those who win a lot don't have any "secrets" - they are just consistent, persistent, and patient.

The sweepers credo? Enter and forget it. Always be happy for those that win - even when they win "your" prize  - and be positive you will win.

Reminding myself of the sweepers credo is how I keep my positive attitude, and my sanity.

I really believe that if you go into it thinking you can't win, well, you'll MAKE yourself right so often you'll start believing it!!! I truly do believe you have to have a positive attitude - don't get hung up on what others are doing - just focus on entering, then move on to something else - like posting so we can get to know you!!!

Hang in there - and enter, enter, enter - you'll be posting a win before you know it!!! And remember - every day brings new opportunities to win!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

It takes a long time for the wins to start showing up. many of us are just now getting notified about things we won back in April, even March or earlier.

ok...it all sounds like good advice. I had my daughter install the roboform on the computer at home and that definatley makes it so much faster. I can't do it on my work computer though. I am positive about winning and know it will happen. I am always happy for anyone that wins. I guess I need to be careful about what I delete. I tried a few instants. I guess the one entry ones are my favorite ..I feel like everyone that enters has the same chance of winning. Thanks for all the good advice and encouragement.

Everyone has given you wonderful advice so I will just give you some encouragement. I wish you the best of luck, it took me 6 months for my first win when I started online sweeping.

If your mail is really overwhelming then a handy thing you can do is use gmail for sweeping and set up what they call "filters"-these make gmail do all the work as far as sorting your junk goes. I have gmail set up to star messages with the terms "win, won, contest, sweepstakes, giveaway, congratulations" and "amazon" (since I'm always getting amazon payments for surveys)
Its pretty easy, just click "create a filter" and take it from there. :) I still read all my mail compulsively, too but at least this helps sort it.

Yes, it's cruel junk mail. Good catch!

I hope you win something great today! Happy Birthday!

:sunny: Almost all the emails I get say something like - Congratulations - You are a winner in the "Whatever" game or sweepstakes [in the subject line] Most of them I recognize as sweeps that I have entered. Occasionally I have gotten some that I would not have guessed were winning notification until I opened the email and read it. When you have done it long enough you get pretty good at recognizing the legitimate ones.

Alot of the emails come from fulfillment@(whatever fulfillment company)
winners@(whatever sweeps)
customerservice@whatever

Anytime you aren't sure, just post it here and we will be happy to help.
