whiner's wall

I feel the same way:( Started around three yrs ago. I was winning usually something every week for the first yr. Also, won 4 or 5 big wins. Last yr. the biggest win was a pair of shoes. This yr. I have won a Kate Spade bag, hoping to get back to winning. The money is tight and the things I was winning helped out for presents. Hoping we all can get bak to winning.
 
So far this year I have won a sticker. That's right, a single sticker. I enter every day without fail, my whole long list. And I can't even win the dumb sponge thing! It's starting to feel really pointless.
 
So, I feel a little silly whining, but there's something that's been frustrating me. I've won single-entries, raffles, 2nd chance, instant, and blog wins. I previously didn't have the dedication to many daily sweepstakes, but for the past year have been entering them every single day and have yet to get a win. I know I shouldn't whine since I've had a pretty good run lately, but it's just been a bit discouraging spending time every day and not having it ever pay off.

Hi there! I work with a company and I noticed that we can no longer send yahoo emails if we have any type of link in the email. We have to leave out our company website from our signature anytime we email someone with a yahoo address. I hope this has been fixed, because that may have been your issue! I'd consider getting another email host, unfortunately. =(

IMO, IW & Dailies stand out more because we see them day after day, while we can enter 2-100x's more 1x entry sweeps and think nothing of it - even if we don't win much from those in relation to how many we entered!

I entered every entry frequency for at least 3 years, and while I didn't keep track of how many 1x's I entered, I *think* it was a very large amount. I won numerous IW's and some dailies, but only ONE 1x during those 3 years.

Now, I rarely bother with 1x's - I'll enter to help out a fellow SA'er who asks for a referral entry, or when I see a comment under a listing where SA'ers are posting difficulty - then I'll enter to see if I can figure out what the issue is, and if I can figure out how to solve it, I'll post. Not if it's for just a trip though!!!

Anyway, what works for you, works only for you - another sweeper entering the same mix of entry frequency sweeps would have a different win pattern.

If you don't think of dailies as productive, maybe weed them out and only enter the ones that you just *have* to try for & drop the others?

I go in the opposite direction - I'll keep some from sponsors I've never won from to change up my entering timing - in fact, I think I need to loosen up my selection process!

I too spend two to three hours a day entering contests, I am still waiting on the "big one" sigh!
 
have to stop by and whine a little :cry: pitch a fit,
it seems like forever that I have won or gotten anything good in the mail, or got a win notification in my email.. :cry: boooo.
I have been entering and entering and entering every day like a good little sweeper. I hope something good is on its way to me. here is hoping for some luck and my fingers feel like they are going to fall off soon from entering so many every day, I hope for all of us to hit 1 BIG ONE..... come on mojo and many win's to all/ I just needed to vent and whine . done now ♥
 
I need to whine, complain, vent. I have had a terrible 6 weeks and have won next to nothing. I am usually good for a few IW's and a book or two. My last book win was 4/01 and since then I've won a couple of packs of candy and a bic pen (and those were all in April.) Nothing for May (yet!) Hope posting this will change my luck - it has worked in the past. I really need a vacation !
 
I need to change my luck. It worked previously so here goes....I need a big win. Never had a big win and now my small wins have dried up. Come on lady luck! Visit my house for a while.
 
Just as there are 10-100 x's more people who feel the same thing but don't post about it, so too are there numerous sweepers who don't post they are in a slump. IMO, there are far more of us in a slump!!!

So, what works for you, works only for you - another sweeper entering the same mix of entry frequency sweeps would have a different win pattern because the important variable is timing.

When you do have it {timing} you know it, because it feels almost too easy to win.

When you don't have it {timing} you know it because feels as if you can't win no matter how many you enter!!!

The big problem? You must enter, enter, enter, then enter some more, sometimes for weeks/months/even years to find out which side of timing you are on!!!
 
Praying for a great win

Praying to win some money to help pay some bills. Husband has been out of work from a heart attack for 6 weeks. Which has left us not being able to pay any bills. This would be a prayer answered!! Thankful for all the wins I have won this year, and the last few years. They have helped out for Holidays, that we couldn't buy anything. Thanks SA and all the sweepstake giveaways, but especially God.
 
This little lady has hit a very long drawn out, dry spell!!! I have been sweeping regularly, since 2003. I have had some very nice, very huge wins and I am very grateful. I am getting very frustrated, lately and have taken some very long breaks, recently. Really down on my luck. Sweeping used to be fun, but is really discouraging, lately! Thanks for listening and letting me vent.

What have you won? Just curious. Try to focus on those! It stinks because when you take breaks, those breaks eventually add onto the dry spell. Try to remember the fun you had when you started! Or enter a bunch of Goodreads sweeps. Winning one of those always helps get back your excitement!
 
I'm having a HUGE dry spell! I feel like I enter constantly with no luck but I'm praying for something good to come my way!
 
I would love to win like I use to. I was winning something almost every week, ow maybe once every two or three months. I enter daily for hours. Notice some ppl win two or three things a week. wow!! I would be happy once a week:)
