I've been entering online since Feb 2004. In Jan 2010, I finally won a GP {$10,000} and I wondered if that was it for me too - over the years I'd won lots of electronics {6 or 8 ipods, laptop, BOSE system, 2 or 3 XBOX's, etc} and LOTS of smaller gift cards and other things. It took me 6 months to start winning, and I went through a period where I'd win 3+ times a week, then it went dead. This went on for 6 or 7 weeks, and ended when I won a digital camera. The 3+ a week started up again, but it was mostly small stuff, then it petered out again. Then i won the GP, and realized while I enjoyed winnng 3+ times a week, going long periods ending with a biggie was far more satisfying to me.
I figured out fairly early on that there were some who would win at least 1 big GP a year, some who would win very little, and lots of people in between. The difference IMHO? Attitude. Some whine and it seems to work for them, while others are so negative I believe they sabotage themselves to prove themselves right. This hobby attracts all kinds of people, but the ones who stick with it know it for what it is - an opportunity to translate their hard work into a win they wouldn't/couldn't get any other way.
You know it's possible to win big, which is both a benefit and a curse, since smaller prizes just don't have the same zing they used to, but if you don't give up, you can be a winner again!!! :sunny:
