When are you too old to sweep?

I have been sweeping for 2 years and enjoying it even though not winning often. It is a great way to spend my time and I love the anticipation of it. I entered one contest and was told to enter my date of birth over and over again. They then told me there were only 1% of people my age on the internet. I thought this very amusing, but probably true. I have family and enjoy giving my winnings to them if I can't use them.

I am wondering ... do they eliminate entries after a certain age?

I would think that age discrimination is not legal. If a certain age group, like 15-29, is targeted, it should say so in the rules. I certainly hope sponsors/judging agencies do not filter by age and then select winners from a certain age group. I always thought you are asked your age on forms for two reasons - to show that you are of legal age to enter, and to provide demographic information to sponsors, since sweeps are a form of advertising.

I never looked into it or thought about your question.

How did you communicate when they told you only 1% of people your age are on the internet- via email or phone?

If you can shop at any age you should be able to sweep at any age, right?

...Beautiful photo of your dog!

I didn't reply, just posted my age again and tried to forget it, but now and then, I wonder about it. Thanks for responding.

She is a joy!

I am 65 years old. There are a few contests that I'm too old to enter, but I seem to be winning as often as I did before I became an official Senior Citizen. Occasionally there are even sweepstakes that exclude young folks (such as AARP's sweeps). Yay for us geezers. Without us, the kids would have no one to tell 'em to get off the lawn.
