We are not sure what our rights are, We have a screen shot of the winning message saying we won a trip to New York, I then called to confirm because the grand prize for the week we won was for Lake Tahoe not New York, we were assured by the call center agent whom looked up the win, checked with her supervisor and congratulated us, several times. A few days later we received a call from a man that works for the promotion agency and said heard the recorded call and we needed to provide the screen shots, so we did, a few weeks later they said Screen shots are not prof and we did not win. They said we really won a travel cocktail set, in which we had already won and rules say you can't win same prize twice. We are furious, we bragged on Facebook and every public form saying how much we love Black and Mild and now they are saying our "ALLEGED" win, like we are criminals and made the screen shot ourselves...was this before or after their call center agent confirmed our win? What rights do we have? Suggestions on what to do, they won't answer our e-mails now.

I dont have any suggestions, but what a bummer! I had a go around with a winning screen once but never got, even after multiple phone calls. Mine was not as big as yours, but still gives a bad taste. So sorry, but maybe it will work out?

The only time I heard about this before was a Sears Shop your Way sweeps that sent out a winning email to a bunch of people, but it was just a computer gliche. They later sent an email apologizing, but I kinda knew it was a mistake since a bunch of people on this site said they received the winning notification. Sorry to hear about that. Sometimes things get screwed up.

Unfortunately, you probably have no rights and can't take any legal action. Sweepstakes always cover their butts, in the rules that you agreed to when entering, in the event of any game error. Your first clue that there was a game error was when it showed you won a trip to New York when the prize that week was for Lake Tahoe.

That's Too bad, Sometimes people depend on their wins thinking it arrive any day, I know I have, and it is hardly fair you are totally right! Legally though I agree with other posts I don't see what you could do I guess nothing... I do understand the disappointment though, but at least you tried. I just don't agree with them telling you over the phone you won, and then saying you didn't...go figure!
