As I progress through life, I often find myself less patient with people; more skeptical, increasingly annoyed by things...whether it's something on the news, something being done in Congress, the human condition, whatever. I find that some of these antics really "get my goat"...and although there is not much I can do about the situations, I can still kvetch and moan about them. So, here goes...feel free to post things that get your goat as well.
Something that gets my goat today...after reading the beginning of an article in the latest Newsweek magazine: "Filling up at a gas station in Pelham Manor, NY, the shocking thing isn't the $3.33-per-gallon price. No, it's the red LUKOIL sign atop the cinderblock building. The Russian energy behemoth, which bought Getty in 2000, has transformed hundreds of Northeast outlets into Lukoil stations (417 at current count)."
What's wrong with this picture? Perhaps it's the thought of a Russian oil company selling Americans gasoline at the pump. And that really gets my goat!
