We've received some recent feedback regarding Creative Representation Sweeps. These are the daily entry sweeps where you can get extra entries if you enter from multiple sites.
Examples of this are Sweepon, Intouchweekly, LifeandStyleMag, etc. Some members would prefer that these sweeps be in their own separate category. Please take the poll below
so we can get everyone's feedback.

Honestly I would love to see them listed once each for daily, but with something about it being on multiple sites or something like that. It is very easy to see them all once you enter one.

the only thing about seeing them all once you enter is if you have to click on each sweeps individually it takes sooooo much longer to enter them. When you can bring up 7-10, or however many per page a person has set up, at a time it goes so much more quickly.

Ostensibly, creative presentations were created to enable several companies to join together and share the cost of a prize that they wouldn't be able to afford individually. For the most part these were substantial prizes with an ARV of $10,000, $20,000 or more - occasionally it was for a lesser amount. Once in awhile there'd be additional smaller prizes unique to one sweep.

Review the creative presentations in the daily entry category and you'll be hard pressed to find any that fit this definition. Some days it appears that more than half the new dailies are creative presentations and most have a low or moderate value ARV, and none of them offer any secondary prizes that are unique to one sweep.

Sweeping has changed and the proliferation of these types of sweeps is one of the changes. The worst example I've seen was posted in the new sweeps here in July. The prize was a $15 bottle of nail polish. There were 16 participating sweeps and they ran for 40 days. That's 640 entries if you entered every sweep daily for 40 days.

I wouldn't enter such a creative presentation if it had been a $15 visa - it's not worth the time investment. Search SA's data base (expired) for OPI nail polish and you'll find all 16 of them. Why the sponsor would promote such a sweep is beyond me. A $15 prize certainly doesn't fit the historic prize value of creative presentations.

Every sweep that's hosted here is an expense to SA. Someone had to enter those sweeps 16 times in the data base and then it cost money to carry them on the server. I haven't a clue what the carrying cost per sweep is, but I'm sure management does.

If we're going to continue to carry these low to moderate value creative presentation, perhaps we should only list one and and in the description show "creative presentation". That would alert the members and those who wished could enter all of them by copying and pasting the URL's of the others from the rules.

That would reduce salary expense and carrying costs. It would also enable the person posting the sweep to use the time saved to find and post more new (better) sweeps.

I remember that creative presentations can be difficult to list, with some having multiple entry points from the *same* sponsor, and as noted, others with multiple entry points from different sponsors.

Or, sometimes, it's not even possible to know just how many sponsors there are, because they don't tell you in the rules, and different sponsors use different titles - this is in regards to the substantial prizes with an ARV of $10,000, $20,000 types.

Now, if we are just discussing multiple entry points from different sponsors, all linked in the rules, like for;
Sweepon.com ;
InTouchWeekly.com;
LifeandStyleMag.com;
J14.com;
MMM-Mag.com;
TwistMagazine.com;
4Tnz.com;
Quizfest.com;
MissLiterati.com;
FirstforWomen.com;
Drawings | First For Women
Womansworldmag.com;
SoapsinDepth.com;
astrogirlfreebies.com;

I say put them all in their own category {categories?} and that would unclog the daily category, and allow those that like them to easily find them, and those that dislike them could easily avoid them!

btw - tip for those who dislike these - do a search from the home page for them {ie: Sweepon} then use the tools to check them off

SweepsPop>Check All SweepsCheck>Save

Repeat until completed, then using Entry Date in FIND while in the Daily category, you can easily see you already dismissed these and you can focus on the other listings!

I voted to "create a new category", but not for all creative presentation types. Just the magazine multiples (sweepon, womansworld, etc.) these are unique and similar in their entry method.

Myself, I wouldn't mind if just the main entry site was listed instead of every individual sweep. Then maybe SA editors would have more time to seek out other sweep opportunities.

I totally agree with missecho. They should be listed for those who "enjoy" entering them but it would streamline the daily regular sweeps.

I am all for the separate category for the sweepon, intouch type sweeps but I would still like each sweeps to listed .... the reason being is that quite often your are required to watch a video ranging from 15 sec to 1 min before you can enter. This process goes much faster if you can bring up 7-10, or however many you have your sweeps pop set for, to come up at once so that the videos get started and you only have to wait once since they all finish approximately the same time. (I hope what I just said is clearer than mud) When you bring them up one at a time it takes so much longer to finish the sweeps. ie: 60 sweeps @ 15 sec each is a minimun of 15 min for each set. I know so many of you hate these sweeps and don't enter them but I like them and do enter them and want it to be as easy as possible.

Any thoughts about the biggies from Hearst Publications?

I know I would like to win one .... and if they were listed I would enter them. since there aren't new ones at the rate of the sweepon, intouch etc I would say that if they were listed they could be put in the dailys....

Thing is? It's not even possible to know just how many sponsors there are, because they don't tell you or give you the links in the rules, and different sponsors use different titles! Not to mention the different entry points sometimes are for the SAME sponsor! Total time consuming mess!!!

I know there are lots of them .... I entered them for a while ... saved them in my favorites in IE..... There must have been 200 or more different entry points spread between the $10,000, $25,000, $50,000 and $100,000 prizes. so maybe listing them on SA wouldnt be such a good idea. but since we have the personal sweeps now I might track them down again and put them in there .... it is fast to enter them that way than from favorites. I would check about once a week and find the new ones and add them .... lots of work! :-)

You can SweepsPop your Personal Sweepstakes if the decision is to no longer list them or to just list the landing page.

Thanks for all the great feedback. So far the poll is favoring the creation of a new category. For those who don't know. Personal Sweepstakes is a feature only available on Sweepstakes Plus. It allows you to create your own private sweepstakes list with sweeps you add yourself.

I also agree that the magazine ones with the same prize listed for all should be in a separate category from daily...same with the "$250 towards your next vacation" ones...all the repeats.Even tho I don't enter these, I still have to scroll thru them to find the other daily's.Just my 2 cents!

Would be nice for these to have a new category. Takes lots of time to enter, so some days skip them.

I enjoy the facebook contests, and seem to have good luck with those. Most those short dated, so not as many entries.

Do thank SA for all the hard work to list them for all of us. Never could find them all on my own.
