Walmart would not accept Kraft coupons

I tried to use the Kraft coupons won recently on the football sweepstakes. (The one with up to $15. free products) Walmart would not accept them. I even showed the letter I received with the coupons.
Has anyone else had a problem using coupons? The cashier said I should check with the service desk before using "free" coupons???????

Thanks,
Linda

Wal-Mart is HORRIBLE if you have a "free" coupon - UNLESS it's up to a certain amount {like $.89} and it costs $1 - so you pay the difference. :nono:

Thanks ya'll! From now on I'll use them at the grocery store. The manager at Walmart's said they get counterfieted coupons all the time. Who knew?????????????

my husband tried at winn dixie. they said they dont take printable coupons. I will be taking them next time. So what is my argument. They are manufactors coupons? Thats the right word right? They aren't even printable coupons because they have that wierd label on the back.

Used mine at Hyvee, they did not even look at them twice. But they are really big on customer service. I have noticed since Mr. Walmart passed away, wally world is loosing allot of it's customer friendliness. At least in our town they are. Good luck using the coupons else where.

I read there's been a lot of free coupon fraud, which is probably why so many people are having problems. My supermarket wouldn't take it at the register, so I spoke to the manager who perused the coupons, and he confirmed that they're kosher. So if you have them, go over the cashier's head and let management look them over. My coupons even had the prize winning letter on top.

We used mine yesterday. I took the first two in Kroger (peanuts and crackers) and never had a problem, then took the third one to Wal-Mart to get the cheese because they were sold out at Kroger. We didn't have a problem at either place. We went to older cashiers that had been there for awhile and they knew just what to do!

I used the Kraft coupons at Publix. I did have a problem with Walmart when I wanted to use a coupon from coupons.com. I e-mailed a complaint to Walmart. Told them to post their policy where customers could see it and train their staff. I intend to take my business elsewhere. (my coupon did meet their criteria!) The following was their response:

Wal-Mart Stores can accept coupons that are available on the internet for customers to print from their home computers. The following are guidelines for the stores for accepting internet coupons:

- The coupon should be legible and say "Manufacturer Coupon". There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer, to ensure the coupon can be processed for payment.
- The coupon should have a scan-able bar code.
- The coupon should have an expiration date.
- The coupon cannot be a photocopy.
- The limit is one coupon per item, per Customer.
- A Salaried Manager can refuse to accept a coupon if it does not meet any or all of these guidelines.

Thank you,
Customer Relations

Here is a link to Wally World's Coupon Policy from their site!! When I had issues in the past I just printed off a copy of the policy and took it in with the coupons I had to redeem and when they would try to give me grief I would just whip out the copy of their policy and show it to them!! If they still had an issue I would request to see the manager of the store...I think alot of what the issue is...Is the cashiers are not properly trained along with the fact they are paranoid of accepting a fraudulant coupon and will get burned...I do understand their dilemma..However I am not afraid to go over someone's head if I feel I am in the right...And yes...I have requested to see the manager on more than one occasion....

Safeway didn't want to take mine..they said I printed them...I said I didn't - look at the back. After a lot of back and forth (and persistence) a manager finally said okay...
