Unilever contest???????

Yep, it did it the first time I played it. I've seen so many glitches and been told I won when I haven't so many times, it doesn't phase me any more. I just keep on sweeping!! :cheers:
 
I played the Unilever Desafio del Sabor instant win game on Friday, 11/02 . I got two matching Wishbone envelopes but I got the "sorry You didn't win" message. I called it into Unilever(1-800-472-0856) and told them according to the rules of the game, you owe me $100! We'll see. :pottytrain:

If you read the rules, there is a disclaimer in there. It states that they are not responsible for mechanical, technical, human, etc., errors. All sweepstakes have them. It's to protect them when screw-ups occur. Therefore, they don't have to honor awarding any prizes when this happens.
 
That is an aweful lot of errors though, and once they know there is an error, I think they have some kinda responsibility to fix it.

Somtimes, there's more to it than being that simple. There are times they don't know it's happening until people start bringing it to their attention. Even then, they may have a hard time figuring out the problem; and it may take awhile to fix it. The "Barcardi Sweepstakes" was a good example of that. It took them quite awhile to correct the problem and didn't even acknowledge there being a problem until they saw that there were over 1,000 winners with only 600 prizes. Nothing is perfect and this stuff will occur from time to time.
 
I remember the Barcardi. I thought that was nice to send all those prizes out, they didn't have to.
Maybe they'll give out some coupons for free Unilever products, I wouldn't mind that, love free products to try.
 
Yes it happened to me yesterday also , I couldnt get the email to work so I mailed them a letter.
 
Hey the same thing happened to me this morning! I had 2 matching Knorr side dishes logos, then it said Sorry you didn't win. I was hoping I would get a congratulations email but so far nothing. Now I'm bummed even more knowing others didn't win either! I'll send an email.

Don't get yourself bummed over it. These things have happened before and will happen again. Always keep yourself in the mindset that irregardless of what a screen says, an email, an affidavit, you have not won that prize until your information has been cleared and approved and they send you the prize.

Just an FYI, in case no one knew about this, screenshots are not considered proof of a win.

As usual, LIDARKSIDE gives good advice - it's not a win until you are confirmed a winner :)
 
You have to get two matching "Desafio del Sabor" envelopes to win though instead of any matching envelopes. Maybe I'm wrong.

All the envelopes are the same. You pick two out; and, if the products (words) match, you win.

I played the Unilever (spanish/english) instant win contest tonight. and I got 2 matching , and it still said "sorry". has anyone else had this happen yet? thanks.

thumbelina - I've seen too many times people thought they won but they didn't - that's why I don't pay attention to the games anymore - I wait for the sorry/congrats screen :nono:

The rules say:

If two envelopes are matched exactly, player will be notified on-screen that he or she is the winner of the daily prize of a $100 American Express Gift Card, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the official rules.

An individual is not a winner unless and until a notification e-mail is received and, at sole option of Sponsor, eligibility and compliance with the official rules are verified.

I did get the message on the screen today about winning the 100 dollar prize, but now, I have seen about 4 other people who said they won today too. I am not holding my breath. I have not received an email about it. :cry:
