troubleshooting tips: Why won't my sweeps save?

Amy here - troubleshooting tips:

1} Make sure you are logged in
2} Check popup blockers

If it isn't that?

Clear all temp files & cookies.
THEN
Reboot & retry.

Still no go?

Try a different Browser - IE, FF, or Google Chrome.
OR
Try a different computer.

If none of these work? It's possible you have a conflict with a program - did you recently add or update?








Has anyone been having problems lately with saving sweeps to their list? I have been using this site daily since February. I am always logged in and my saved dailys and IW's are available for me to see. When I go to new sweeps for each day, and save one (I have only ever been able to save daily, one time and IW since I have a free membership). For the last week or so I have noticed when I save something, it doesn't stay in my category. I have now been having to write down sites and save to my computers favorite pages so I don't loose them.

Am I doing something wrong?

Are you allowing pop-up? You have to allow pop-ups or the sweeps won't be saved to your "my sweeps." Maybe you've recently disabled your pop-ups and didn't realize it.

autumnlake1970 - When you update programs and/or your browser{s} it's possible their default is to block popups - you have to check your settings to see if it's that.

That said, although you are the only one who has reported this problem, I notified admin JIC it is on SA/SP's end, :)

Thanks for the advice. It was my pop up blocker. When I started using my daughter's old computer I had not turned off the blockers. Now I am running back at 100%. Can't wait to get back to entering all those sweeps faster!

I truly appreciate all your help :)

I am having trouble getting any of my sweeps to save. I checked my pop-up blocker and its off. All of my sweeps stay checked when I pull up the lists, but when I pull up MY list, there are no sweeps listed.....Help!

Thanks for the tips. I'll give it a shot. I've submitted a 'help' ticket. I suspect the issue may be that Im not at my PC -- Im at work. Thx again!

Ah yes - SA is classified with sites that the firewall IT sets up will block. :whistle:

I know darn well I have been able to save daily sweeps from facebook to my dailies. As a matter of fact, I can go in my list and find a bunch of facebook sweeps. How come the new ones I have "tagged" will not show now? I can ave other stuff, just not facebook.

It's been awhile since admin changed FB

SA not SP member?

Facebook & Twitter Contests will not save because they only have a place to be saved in PLUS - you either save them to that category in the drop-down, or into whichever category YOU name.


Facebook doesn't run sweepstakes - it's just another sweeps platform - sponsors choose to use it because it is so popular.

At 1st, it was just lesser known/local sponsors. Now it runs the gamut from those lesser known/local to National/well known sponsors, so we have to make sure we read the rules - some will say you have to pick up the prize!

Still others will offer prizes to all, but only provide them in certain States, so I *always* check out the sponsor before I enter!

Hi, I'm a newbie. My sweeps won't save either and I am allowing pop ups. I have a mac. any suggestions?

2} Allow SA popups/click on Save My Sweeps
3} Click on Add to My Sweepstakes
4} Click on SweepsCheck box
5} Refresh/click on Save My Sweeps
6} Check to see that the SweepsCheck boxes are checked off with the day's time & date.

From your post, it sounds like you tried everything, but it isn't clear if you logged and logged back in again. As a Plus member, please log out of SA, and log out of SP, then log back in to SP only, and stay with SP.

Once you have done that, and you have cleared cookies/history, and allowed pop-ups...if you still cannot save, please submit a ticket to the Help Desk:

Thank you for the quick reply. I've retried the steps making sure to log out of SA and SP. I've submitted a ticket since I must not have something right.
