Many people like to hear about trip wins (I am one of them)
If you have photo's you would like to share, tales to tell etc
post about it here!

so this thread is for trip wins AFTER they have been taken (or while they are being taken if you take a laptop with you)!

I guess I will start!
I will have much more to post next month after my Hawaii trip win from Timexx.

In May I won a trip from Cattlemans BBQ sauce to Memphis to the World BBQ championships, included was a tour of Graceland, a BBQ demonstartion, a tour (including all we could drink) of Beale Street, Dinner every night in the Cattlemans Tent, open bar every night and a 5 star hotel.

I won a trip to the daytime Emmy awards in Hollywood. I work full time days so I don't have much of an opportunity to watch daytime TV but it was still great fun. I do have some knowledge of daytime soap stars aas my Gram and Mother were addicted! My husband and I walked the Red Carpet with the stars, sat with the Stars, stayed in the same hotel and had an after party with them. Everyone was incredibly nice. I enter any contest with travel involved as I love to go new places. I had never been to California so it was a treat. They even gave us money for a gown and tux. What fun!

I forgot to say that it was a Dr. Scholl's contest through STAR magazine and we went this spring.

Fun thread, thanks for starting it

Forgive me for my three posts but I just remembered another trip I won before I started entering contests through the internet.

I won a trip to Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos to meet N'Sync! How funny is that. It was a national radio contest, I was 25th caller. I'm a bit older than the average N'Sync fans (when they had them in 2001) but I went anyway. Beaches was incredible! N'Sync was fun and I had lots of tales to tell my 10 year old cousins.

I'm ready for another win to the Beach!

I won a trip to Beverly Hills, a trip to Orlando AND my biggest trip win ever was a trip to Ireland. It was the trip of a lifetime - it included vouchers to stay at different places of our choice from a huge book of participating locations every night. We literally drove 3,000 miles in one week touring Ireland - it was beautiful! :D

Last Year I won 2 trips to NYC
the first was to the More Marathon - Celebrating Women over 40. (4 days, 3 nights) It included $500 spending cash, Waldorf Astoria Hotel, airfare, a plaque, a bouquet of flowers, a pasta dinner (night before the marathon) meet and greet of several famous women marathoners) a documentary of my winning essay and they filmed me for a commercial. sponsored by More Magazine.

the second trip to NYC was for the CMA Awards (4 days, 3 nights), It was sponsored by Jeff Foxworthy (who called me himself to let me know I won, we talked for over 45 minutes) it included airfare, Marriott Marquis Hotel on Times Square, a 4 hour bus tour of Manhattan, Grand Ol Opry's 80th birthday party at Carnegie Hall, the Rockettes Christmas special at Radio City Music Hall, a Broadway play (Beauty and the Beast), Masters behind the music (a bunch of country music song writers who all have written top 40 hits, put on a concert and a question and answer session), the CMA's, Red Carpet treatment and after show party. (ps. Gretchin Wilson was 2 doors down from my room, Nellie was next door and several other stars were in the hotel!!)

the third trip I won last year was to a private concert and BBQ with Blake Shelton, included airfare, meet and greet, Homewood Suites Hotel, $500 spending cash, BBQ dinner, a tour of the Progressive Farmer "tomorrow" house, sponsored by Progressive Farmer (3 days, 2 nights)

I won an all-inclusive trip for 2 to Punta Cana from a local radio station 2 years ago. I paid extra to bring my kids and we had the best time ever! All-inclusive is definately the way to go!

I won a trip for two to California, a private tour of the San Francisco Area, tickets to several different attractions and events there, and a private studio tour. I won the trip through Sony, when they were promoting their film "Hellboy". The studio tour was the studio that did all of the computerized graphics and special effects for the movie. This was a small independent studio located in the Berkeley area, and they DO NOT give tours, so this was special for both us and them. The reason why this trip was so perfect was that my son is graduating from High School next year, and this is the EXACT career path he wants to take, so I brought him on the trip. We both had such a great time, and my son has kept in touch with several of the graphic artists there. They have taken a special interest in him, and they have invited him to go there for a week during his Christmas break and another week during spring break for some hands-on experience. They are also working hard with him to get him into one of the best schools for graphic arts and special effects. This trip definitely has changed his life!!

I won two trips to Orlando, FL. Living in FL made it easy as I am only 2 1/2 hours away.

The first Trip was a radio contest win in which I won a trip for to Disney which for 3 days/2 nights and included to Ultimate Park Hopper passes which allowed us to go to every Disney Park, Water Park and Pleasure Island this was back in 04.

Then I won another trip through a TV station to Halloween Sweepstakes Horror Nights at Universal. I enter online every day for myself & my parents as well. There were 20 first prizes of two tickets, parking pass & a two t-shirts. I actually told my friends about it with the hope of winning two tickets and since there would of been 3 of us we would have split the cost of the third ticket. Instead I got a call that I was the grand prize winner which included 4 tickets a VIP Tour "which got us to the front of everyline" so we got to do all the horror houses without the tour you would be luckly to get through 2 of them. It also included a 1 night stay at a hotel on the grounds, 4 t-shirts as well. It was like a 1,600.00 prize and the best part about it was when I picked it up they did not have me filled out a 10W4 so I paid no taxes on it. Oh yeah, I forgot it also included 4 tickets which were 1 day 2-park tickets as well.

mpgelb you will learn Orlando by heart IF you get another trip there. Congrats and education is a pleasure, at time.

I have won 3 trips.

The first to Montreal from a local radio station win. Flown up, put in a wonderful hotel downtown, played golf on Celine Dion's golf course with her personal intructor and won a set of womens golf clubs.

The second trip was to Las Vegas. Flown out, stayed at Caesars Palace meet Celine Dion (yeah, I know, I know, there seems to be a theme here) before her concert and saw her wonderful show. Sponsored by Chrysler.

Last trip was to the US Open just last month. Since I live an hour north of NYC, they sent a car to drive us there and back, stayed at a hotel in Manhattan. Had a suite for the US Open (got to see Agassi's last game  ). I actually wrote about it in the Talk about Anything link. Highly recommend entering the IW US Open Suite Life for nexts year open for those who haven't considered this one.

Happy Sweeping All and Thank You SA for All You Do!
