Sweeping--something I thought I'd never get into!

Hi All
How I got started in sweeping, I truly don't remember. I know it's been for well over 2 years now and although I never thought I would enjoy it, I DO!! I call it my hobby! A coworker recently asked my what I do in my spare time and when I told her, she looked a little stunned--I explained and I could see her mind working--I may have created another sweeper!!

I am curious about a few things and I hope maybe some of you might help me out. They may seem trivial but what the heck--"curiosity never ----s the cat" (I hope)!!!
I NEVER see a winner posting for the Classic Heartland sweepstakes. There are so many prizes and there are many members of SA, you would think that there would be some winners. I do try to look at the postings most days. Maybe the SA members are just not posting these wins but I sure am curious to know. I began wondering if our entries are even being accepted by Classic Heartland!

I just recently saw a winning post for Woman's Day and was surprised. Again, I had not seen an SA win for their sweeps until this one. Have any other SA members won with Woman's Day? I certainly would love to win some of there prizes.

As for my winnings, they are few and far between. I have not won in this new year but did win some in 2006 and 2007:
$1000 Home Depot Gift Card
$1000 Check from the Hunt Contest
a Keg-O-Rator
a set of books about Halloween Sweepstakes
and just a few small instant win items.

I, like everyone else, hopes for the really BIG WIN! and like everyone, a TRIP would be GREAT. Instant wins are my downfall--I can't win one no matter how I try--different times etc. I really don't win all that much, at least I don't think so, from what I read in the postings. I even complained once and received very kind messages from other SA members not to give up. Shortly after,I won the Hunt's $1000 and the Books--you brought me luck! Should I complain more ofter???!!! Okay, Okay, I know when to quit! I mean complaining, not sweeping!

Anyways, GOOD LUCK TO ALL--IT REALLY IS GREAT TO SEE THE WINS FROM OTHER MEMBERS! :sunny:

I've seen people post wins from "Classic Heartland" and "Woman's Day". I, myself, have won from Woman's Day before. It's simply that most people don't post their wins. I may mention a win here or there, but I generally don't post my wins either.

I had never thought about it before either, and then one night had a dream about an online sweepstakes I won, and next day I saw a member on another forum (totally unrelated to sweeping, and I didn't even know this person ... i think it was greenthings or greeneyes? or something like that). And I thought, wow, that is weird. So I clicked on the link on her sig and ended up here, lol!

Started end of Sept, 07, But my "dream" hasn't come true yet, I won a huge check in an online sweep in my dream (and I really didn't know that there was really such a thing). So far have won a few good prizes, but I have found it fun :)

I hardly see anyone win on the classic heartland sweeps, they are pretty easy to enter, so I am still doing it, and they do list winners on their website I think I have heard of one person winning here since I started. But sometimes I do wonder if totally wasting time (especially when I add a new one, since they turn over so quickly.)

:sunny: So happy to hear you are having fun amhearst! You have won some really great prizes.
As izzblizz mentioned they do have a winners list on Classic Heartland . There are many many people entering and not everyone does post their wins. Also not everyone winning belongs to a sweepsite. The one thing for sure, you can't win if you don't enter!
Here's hoping that you continue to get some wonderful wins and have some fun along the way!

P.S. when you haven'twon in a while feel free to whine about it in the Whine Thread. As you have seen for yourself, sometimes just telling others you haven't been winning bring a win yor way!
