I'm sure lots of us thought the same thing you posted, and I thought you expressed yourself very well!!! :love:

Remember - people can't see your face, or hear your tone of voice, so things will be taken wrong on occassion :error:

Please don't let one negative response turn you off from enjoying all aspects of this wonderful site colleenjudge!!! :sunny:

Who said I'm the "in crowd". Like you said, right, this is a gripe/vent thread... that's all I was doing, just that. Not asking for you analize wheather or not I'm in the right or wrong by entering sweeps at work........ Pay attention....

Umm Amy.... why are you all acting as if "the judge" is the victim here? I'm the one who got checked from her and her saying I'm at work to work not enter sweeps.....

You should tell her to "please not treat people that way"............

No "victim" in my mind champagne, I just feel you should treat others with the same amount of respect you want - calling people out for posting their opinion is not the way to go about it.

Once you post in a forum, you open yourself to responses. Getting angry with someone who posts their opinion on the issue that you don't agree with/take offense to doesn't solve anything.

If you have a problem with a post, please notify a mod instead.

It takes all lot of people to make up a world. Everyone has there own opions and it sucks sometimes when you cant hear someones tone, or see the expressions they make. So people can take things the wrong way.

I work for my dad, and used to work 3-4 hours a day, (when my daughter was in school longer) now she is just in for 3 hours. So I just work 1-2 hours a day. I go in and file papers, and take bank deposits. There is downtime at the job, where im just twiddling my thumbs, so I play solitare. IF We had a fast internet I probably would do my sweeps. But my dads warehouse is far out, where the power lines suck. So theres not an internet connection. Except phone, and it takes way too long.
 
I agree with Amy in this matter. First of all, aside from me, there are not popular peeps here! :headbang: In order to be in the "in crowd", you have to like Chocolate Sweepstakes & Giveaways and you have to come out and talk to everyone. Honestly, I was probably an obnoxious poster at first, getting into every conversation. I find myself pulling back a bit now.

Champagne, Honestly, I think you need to check your attitude. Like Amy said, you can't judge emotion in the typed word. I agree with what was said. As an employer, I would not want my employees entering sweeps on my time. I am also a very laid back boss. Do your job, do it well and I am happy. But that'll be the day you are entering sweeps on my time.

I don't know your job. I don't know your boss. What I am pretty sure of is that the IT guy was only doing his job. Perhaps you should talk to your boss about this. Maybe it's not ok with him? :scratch:

I'm sorry guys, I am just compulsive about answering questions. :cry: If somebody posted that they had their DH's body and could not fit in in the fridge I'd probably do a post about what kind of bone saw attachment they needed before it occured to me that, hey, that might not be a totally legal thing they are doing! :crazytongue:
Sorry, Colleen-just keep in mind I have no common sense whatsoever and I'm on a lot of medication :error:
 
So, red, what kind of saw would that be? Hubby's been a bit cranky and our anniversary is coming up! :headbang: :laughing:
 
I always had excellent results with the Wusthof 20 inch, other people like the Gerber because it leaves less fragments. A lot would depend if you plan to simply dispose of him later, or dress him out and make sausage or jerky (avoid a messy divorce and make tasty gifts for the relatives)

Well, I for one want everyone's addresses ~ that way I can send you a present really soon!

Remember ~ the first ones to sign up get the best parts... this would be my decision on what the best parts are ~ not yours... :whistle:
 
And now Ping has given me the perfect opportunity to tell one of those true stores that is so weird that no one will ever believe it. I have a SIL named Sheila (my DH and nephews call her Shelob). She married a much older man so that she could get his black lung check. When he passed away, in order to avoid the expense of a funeral, she simply put him and an box and shipped him UPS (he was not very big to start with and was under 75 lbs at the time of death) to his son Kenny.So Kenny gets a nice big box from UPS and opens it up to find his dead father, naked, in the fetal position, who was starting to be rather the worse for the wear as Sheila had not included any cold packs.
Needless to say Kenny will never take up sweeping, as unexpected UPS packages give him anxiety attacks.

Wow--------------------------didn't see all that coming! Well, maybe I did but none the less: Champagne don't you dare leave! I enjoy reading your post and we need to see you thru your wedding! BTW, me and hubby went to The Melting Pot the other night and it was so great - just like you posted earlier!
 
ewwww that would freak me out. I dont think I could sleep after seeing my dad naked!! Not to mention dead. That is just plan mean.
 
Can I be in the in crowd? :) Actually I think I already am. Just being a member here has made me feel welcome and I hope everyone feels confortable posting where ever they want.

I always try and put myself in the other persons shoes before I post and remember we are all human and sometimes have to remember we could have taken something the wrong way. Just my 2 cents.

Tammy, that's so nice of you to offer to take care of my hubby. You're the best. I think we should take Red's suggestion and look for sausage recipes! :laughing:
