With the snail mail sweeps as in 3x5, most of them do not state wether to use an envelope or just mail the postcard in? Any advice on this? Thanks!

Post It notes

When a particular sweep asks for a 3x5 piece of paper. Can I send my entry on a post it note of that size?

golfpro79 - I posted this Q to the stickied thread:

prettyfechi15 - if they ask for a 3x5 card, you use card stock. If it says 3x5 paper, you could use either paper or card stock

ALSO - 3x5 is too small - postcards are 3 1/2" or 4-1/4" x 5"
https://postcalc.usps.com/PopUps/FCMPostcard.htm

Postcard Dimension Minimum Maximum

Height 3-1/2 inches (8.890 cm) 4-1/4 inches (10.795 cm)
Length 5 inches (12.700 cm) 6 inches (15.240 cm)
Thickness 0.007 inch (0.018 cm) 0.016 inch (0.040 cm)

Any item smaller than the minimum dimensions is not mailable.
For postcards, length is the dimension parallel to the address.
Postcards must be rectangular and be made of unfolded and uncreased paper or card stock.

Large cards that exceed the maximum dimensions of a postcard pay the First-Class Mail letter, large envelope, or package price.

Re: Post-it notes

Can I mail my entries on post it notes as long as it is the correct size asked for?

Unless rules state CARD and/or Use only Lined/White and/or Card/Paper and it goes inside an envelope it should be fine golfpro79
