I'll add a couple of snail mail hints
Size Does Matter.
When a Sweep asks you to send a 3.5 X 5 paper, you must do just that. Any old size is not acceptable. This is, in part, to keep a level playing field. So don't take the chance on wasting your stamp...send the right size.
Card vs. Postcard.
If I sweep asks for a card, you send cardstock weighted paper in an envelope. If a sweep asks for a postcard, send a postcard (ie: like the kind you send on vacation or buy at the post office). Postcards do not go in envelopes.
Handwriting is key.
Write your entries so that someone who doesn't know anything about you can read your entry without straining or guesswork. This is a huge factor is being disqualified.
postcards from the post office I fill out like this;

This is another example of badly written rules. Most of the time when they say postcard mailed inside an envelope they mean a 3x5 card and just don't know what to call it.
Since this sweepstakes rules call for postcard or paper, I would use either 3x5 paper or card. As long as the rule do not say no metered or bulk mail use your mailing machine.
So fill out your info. decorate or not your envelope run them into the machineand mail them. Then work on the next sweepstakes.

Ps Oh saying "Have a safe trip winning entry" as you drop them into the mail can't hurt.
When a particular sweep asks for a 3x5 piece of paper. Can I send my entry on a post it note of that size?

prettyfechi15 - if they ask for a 3x5 card, you use card stock. If it says 3x5 paper, you could use either paper or card stock
ALSO - 3x5 is too small - postcards are 3 1/2" or 4-1/4" x 5"
https://postcalc.usps.com/PopUps/FCMPostcard.htm
Postcard Dimension Minimum Maximum
Height 3-1/2 inches (8.890 cm) 4-1/4 inches (10.795 cm)
Length 5 inches (12.700 cm) 6 inches (15.240 cm)
Thickness 0.007 inch (0.018 cm) 0.016 inch (0.040 cm)
Any item smaller than the minimum dimensions is not mailable.
For postcards, length is the dimension parallel to the address.
Postcards must be rectangular and be made of unfolded and uncreased paper or card stock.
Large cards that exceed the maximum dimensions of a postcard pay the First-Class Mail letter, large envelope, or package price.
Can I mail my entries on post it notes as long as it is the correct size asked for?
