Sick of it all

I'm so sick of all the parameter's, and numerous requirements to enter sweepstakes of late. 1st like on FB, then Tweet, then enter your PINTEREST name, and FOLLOW them, and also pin 3 items to a board your create. Then they added instagram, along with what was the unusual write an essay or submit a photograph, now submit a video :0 :0 :0 all for a $25 Gift Card. I'm venting because I REALLY REALLY NEED TO. I am seriously thinking of getting out of the sweepstaking hobby.

I hear ya. It's like what's next. You can always just avoid those sweeps. that's what I have been doing. There are still plenty of others out there that don't require you to do cartwheels while singing God Bless America and blinking your eyes to the tempo while being recorded to post to all the social networks.. :D Just makes me wonder if someday sweepers will refer to this as the good ole days when entering was simple compared with what they will have to do in the future just to enter a sweep to win a coupon for a pencil.

zoom38, I hear ya too. There's truth in what you say, and it's easy to see things overwhelmingly that way. Maybe time for a break, come back refreshed, and it could be easier to ignore sweeps with all the hoops? The landscape is always changing, and whew! Pmeek, I am out of breath after reading your post. I hope all changes are for the better and maybe some of these trendy requirements will grow outdated without trendier replacements...wishful thinking!

I'm with you too zoom

Thankfully, most of the ones that require the hoops are those I was only meh on entering for anyway - it's like if a GP is a trip for a sweeps, the lower tier prizes would have to be awesome & numerous, or I'm all NEXT... :p

Same with these that require all the hoops - the prizes would have to rock my world to make me regret having to pass on them.

it's true ... we all need breaks from sweeping. I definitely don't sweep like I used to when I 1st started. It's gotten a lot more tougher to win sweeps.. i just started back after a couple of months off and i usually will start sweeping again when I miss winning things... ANYTHING.... and my husband also notices when i stop sweeping brcause things stop coming in the mail... I LOVE winning...

Thanks everyone for you kind words and encouragement. I have revised my thinking and will only enter the sweeps that have prizes worth winning, (Cash & Vehicles, and maybe some easy entry other ones) and let the others with "hoops" pass.

I'm hoping if these "wacky" requirement sweepstakes don't get the volumn then they will change their entry requirements.

I started entering sweepstakes when I was 13 years, and believe me there were sweepstakes back then, a 13 year old could enter. All that was required was name, address, and maybe phone number.

Sometimes "PROGRESS" isn't always better.
