Won the yacht trip in French Polynesia!

Have to turn down since there is no way I can afford the airfare in time :(

I had to turn down a trip to Mississippi because it didnt include airfare and part of the prize was a huge football game !
they wouldnt even ship me the gift bag with the additional prizes ! Tshirt & misc.....
 
It's happens to all of us at some point, but don't look at it as a sad win, but a great gift for your soul that you gave it up for someone else to experience.

I am so sorry to hear that. I had to turn down the Orange Bowl trip from Capital One a few years ago. The reason is because the rules stated I had to fly from my "nearest airport to my home". At the time I was in Texas visiting my daughter and couldn't change my flight to get back home, to turn around and fly to Florida. They would not fly me from San Antonio, then fly me home to Los Angeles. It was a technicality that we couldn't overcome. They were very nice about it I tried but it just wasn't going to happen. My husband was very disappointed, but someone else won and I hope they had a wonderful time. It's all good karma, I hope.

So sorry you couldn't accept the trip. I agree with yououghta that once a winner always a winner and you gifted someone else with the trip. May your next win be wonderful!
 
Thanks for the kind words everyone! It was still a nice feeling to win, even if I can't keep it. Hopefully someone else here that can use it wins on the redraw!
