For the past 2 days I have had trouble loading SA. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. When it loads, it doesn't last long, and it's gone again. Anyone having this problem as well?

Hi johnsnook,

People have been having problems with logins and their My Sweeps, due to the recent firewall upgrade. Ken posted about it in Announcements.
Have you tried logging out, clearing cookies and logging in again? I don't know if it will help, but if not, please submit a ticket to the HelpDesk via this link:

Here are Ken's posts, in case you haven't seen them before:

We upgraded our firewall yesterday for added security. If you are experiencing any problems with logins please logout, clear your cookies
and log back in.

If that still does not work please submit a helpdesk ticket.

Thank you!

Sorry for any trouble some others may be experiencing. The firewall has to be tuned to work with our website. We have been doing this continually while reports come in.

ok, thanks art, logged out, cleared cookies, it is working now, but it was working before I did that. I saw that post, but my problem was different, so I did not try that. So I guess it's a wait and see. I will post a ticket if it happens again.

I know every night around 11pm {PST} the site updates and it either won't load, or it logs me out.

Also, a recent update changed my settings and i had to allow sites thru adblock in FF

This was just posted and is a similar/additional problem. Amy's info is very helpful, and I am glad you understand and are patient in case it is related to the upgrade.

For the last few days, the website freezes up and I can't bring it back up. This problem might last a few minutes to an hour or more. Anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know of a solution?

Also, I know you are reading Announcements, so you probably already saw this today - maybe the problem you experienced is related to using Sweeps Pop?

If you use the SweepsPop feature on the SA site only you may experience a temporary block by our firewall. Because SweepsPop launches so many windows it is triggering the firewall to close the connection for 30 minutes. Until we configure the firewall to allow this please do not use the SweepsPop feature on SA.

johnsnook - I know you are good about keeping updated, so this is for others who may read this:

When troubleshooting, always try from easiest to hardest;

If you were able to enter/use SA/SP tools previously, then suddenly you can't:
1} Look for a thread in the Announcements forum
2} Look to see if other sweepers are reporting similar issues
3} Check your computer settings - some updates will change settings and you must allow popups for SWEEPSPOP to work, along with saving sweeps
4} If after none of these answer your question(s) and/or resolve your isue(s) then yes, please submit a help ticket

Basic & FB troubleshooting
1} For FB: you MUST accept/allow apps to enter FB promos. Go to their FB wall, unlike them. Reload. Like. Then try to enter.
2} Clear all temp files & cookies.
3} Reboot & retry.
4} Try a different Browser - IE, FF, and for the real PITAS, Google Chrome.
5} Try a different computer.
6} If none of these work? It's possible you have a conflict with a program - did you recently add or update?

ALSO - I find after IE/Firefox/and or ROBO updates I have problems with sweeps rendering properly, so I make sure JAVA/ADOBE are updated too, and then they *usually* will work - FYI - it sometimes takes numerous days/reboots until things are normal again

ADOBE: Adobe - Test Adobe Shockwave Player
JAVA: Verify Java Version
