Hello,

I was wondering if Roboform Pro is worth $30. Is it a lot better than the free version? Thanks!

If you enter alot of sweeps its worth the money. I bought it awhile back and couldnt imagine doing my sweeps without it.

i PURCHASED IT ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO IT MADE SUCH A DIFFERENCE TO ME , I TRY TO ENTER A LOT OF SWEEPS TIME PERMITTING .

you have to be willing to put some time into setting it up but it is worth it if you enter a lot. And people here are always willing to help you figure out how to utilize the pro features. I finally splurged for it when I got a more demanding job recently and have been very happy.

We discuss the pros/cons of robo/pro robo, and how to use it in those threads :headbang:

But if you want my personal opinion?

BEST $30 I ever spent!!! :headbang:

I used autofill for the 1st 6 months of sweeping, d/ld'ed robo & used it for about 2 years, then went for it & bought pro - and kicked myself for waiting so long!!! :nono:  :crazytongue:

definitely. I got it about 1 1/2 - 2 months ago and it has made a world of difference. I'm not brain dead after entering. it took alittle while to get used to it, but, once you do, look out, it's a breeze.

Thanks for the help! Luckily, hubby is an IT geek, so I can make him set this thing up. Have a great day!

I've been wondering this myself...but I'm wondering if I'd do it to save myself time or to enter more sweeps!! My hubby thinks 250/day is enough!! :crazytongue: He can't possibly be right...

Is there a program that will fill multiple entries at once or does Roboform Pro do this? I spend about 2 hours a day entering sweeps and would like to reduce the time but not the amount of sweeps.

No, Roboform does not do this. That would start getting into the area of services and programs that enter for you without you doing anything, and those are not allowed to be used to enter sweepstakes per the rules.

You should go through the computer help section and read over it carefully. If you're utilizing it correctly, you should be able to enter alot in a short period of time. I can get through 700+ in about 3 to 3 1/2 hours.

I guess it's a matter of whether you enter a lot of daily sweeps or not. I use the free RoboForm because most daily sweeps I do not care to enter. I prefer to enter sweeps that offer cash because of the tax purposes involved. That way if I should win I can put some of the winnings away for Fed. and State taxes. I do not want to win a huge prize and end up paying an arm and a leg on the taxes at tax time. Going into debt over winning a sweep is not worth it to me. I look at the posted daily sweeps every day. Every now and then you find a good one to enter everyday. Unfortunately those sweeps people enter multiple times with their name, spouse, kids if they are old enough, if it's not limited to one daily entry per household. If you enter a lot of sweeps then Pro would be good for you. I don't enter a lot of daily sweeps so the free Robo is good enough for me.

I won several amazing, large prizes in past years without Robo, entering far fewer per day than I enter now. But sweeping seems to be so much more competitive over the past few years, I don't think I could win anything much at all without it. Robo's a necessity to me. I'm in using Pro for the long haul.

Although, I know some people have to consider whether or not they can afford the taxes on it, you also need to consider the prize. There are many prizes where the taxes would be worth it; i.e., winning a $1,000 gift card for groceries, etc. Groceries are a necessity. So, you would be getting $1,000 worth of groceries, and that would be far more than what taxes would cost on it

LIDARKSIDE,
Has a good point. It does depend on the prize. Also, if you usually get a pretty good sized refund you may still not have to actually end up owing Uncle Sam money. But also keep in mind that when filing next years taxes things will be different. If I understand things right the "economic stimulus" check that you may qualify for is not "free" money. It's an advancement of your next years refund. So you're going to get back less $$ next year as you normally would.

Thanks to the IRS and the way they do things there has been so much confusion on this issue.

Q. Will the payment I receive in 2008 reduce my 2008 refund or increase the amount I owe for 2008?

A. No, the stimulus payment will not reduce your refund or increase the amount you owe when you file your 2008 return.

That's as it stands now but who knows. next year come tax time they could change their mind.

I don't usually consider taxes when I enter something. unless its like 20,000 for a party. Hell no Im not paying those kind of taxes for something so frivolous.

If I win a car I figure I would sell it to help pay the taxes.
