Returning Affy's

So I've only had to deal with a few Affy's at this point but each time I am confronted with the dilemma as to how I want to send them back. Once I got a pre-paid Fedex envelope. THat was nice and simple. Another time I received it via fedex so that's how I returned it. Most recently I got an affy via USPS and so I sent it back today the same way. I sent it "priority" (whatever that means!) and certified. There were so many choices though with certifying and delivery/signature confirmation as well as insurance. I never know what to choose. It was also going to P.O. box for the company so I don't think signature confirmation was an option.

I of course always follow the sponsors instructions if any are given but sometimes they are really vague and simply give a date for it to be postmarked and/or returned by.

What's your method of choice? Do you think it's worth insurance etc? Has anyone ever had to verify with the sponsor when you sent it or anything like that? Anyone have any input?
 
Depends on what the prize is. If the affy is required for something like a CD/DVD, I send regular mail. The affy for the BowFlex I think I faxed back, following up with regular mail since they confirmed receipt via fax. I'm not going to send an affy for a $10-$15 item overnight. Haven't won much requiring an affy.
 
some I have sent regular mail, the crackdown and xbox 360 affy's. the hillshire grand prize I sent fed ex overnight and others I have faxed. I quess it just depends on how fast they want it and what the prize is.
