Awhile back I won a trip for 1 to Detroit to play golf. Unfortunately, the person I was supposed to play with is injured and can't go, so the sponsor is offering me 2 roundtrip tickets to anywhere in the continental US! I'm excited because my hubby gets to go and neither of us has ever flown before. Question is... where to go? We can't decide, so if any of you guys has any ideas please let me know! I'm so excited! Good luck everyone!

Orlando, FL! So much to do! So much to do!

We go every year. It's our favorite place to go but not in the summer. It's too hot then. We go every January for about 2 1/2 weeks. Universal Studios is the best.

What do you like to do? Restaurants, art, Nascar, cowboys, plays, nature, line dancing? What you want to do (lay on the beach, gamble, eat a live squid, watch a magic act) should determine where you decide to go. Obviously you won't get live squid in Omaha, or a beach in Nebraska. So maybe you could make a list of stuff you'd like to do, then pick out the place that has it.
 
California wine country or Yosemite, Nevada for Vegas or Tahoe, Utah for the canyons, Arizona for the Grand Canyon, Colorado for the skiing, Texas for the River Walk or Alamo, Lousiana for New Orleans, Georgia for the antiquing and historical homes, S. Carolina for Charleston, Florida for Disney and all the other parks, N. Carolina for the Outer Banks, Tennessee for Memphis or the Grand Ol Opry or Graceland or Beale Street, DC for the Smithsonian and all the capitol buildings, Pennsyvania for the Amish country, New York for the city or the Hudson Valley.

So much to see for so many different tastes and likes. And the best part, depending on what time of year you travel, there is so much that each state has to offer that is is seasonal! The fall in the Northeast, the summer on the beaches, the winter in the mountains.

I have been fortunate in having the chance to travel so often and see so many things. Pick somewhere you have never gone or would never go because you couldn't afford it, then go, explore, enjoy it because it is something new for you!
