LOL, i went there and clicked on 70's candy. And the first thing is those candy cigarettes! I remember blowing them and the white stuff would go out like a puff a smoke. Can't believe they used to sell those!

I was thinking the same thing when I saw those. They were creating future smokers. You know at some point, kids wanted to stop play smoking the candy cigarettes and try out the real things!!

Wacky,if you get a chance try the Japanese "Lotte Airs" chocolate, its much better than Aero. Lotte also makes "Black Black" licorice gum which is probably strong enough to kill head lice.... :crazytongue:

They apparently add hazlenut into it though.

...and, by the way, where in God's name are you buying this chocolate. I couldn't find anything for the American market.

A place called Siagon Market. Its near my dentists. They have Lotte Airs in Dark, milk, and something I can't figure out what it is. I guess that last one is the hazelnut?

Actually, the site I found info on for it said that hazelnut is an ingredient in the milk chocolate bar. It says the bittersweet bar is called "Elite Aerated".

I remember the fake cigarettes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember moonpies!
and I'm not as old as you would think.

I remember going to the corner stores in the city when we used to visit my cousins, and we would bring .75cents and come home with a bag full of candy. those days are long gone.

I don't know if they had this where you lived back in the early '70's, but, every summer , me and my brothers would look foward to going into the city to visit my aunt. on saturdays and sundays, they used to come around with the kiddie rides on the back of a long, truck trailer.

For . 25cents or .50 cents you could ride the rides, they had the caterpillar ride, merry-go-round, roller coaster. (miniture versions of the big rides for little kids)

we thought this was the coolest thing when we were kids. they don't have anything like this today.

Oh yeh! I remember those rides. I used to go on summer vacation to my aunt and uncle's house in Brooklyn. We used to go running for money when we saw those guys coming down our street.
