Affidavit from Arrowhead Promotion & Fulfillment Company on behalf of the Krusteaz Bread Co. for the sweepstakes they were promoting where you could win $1,000.00 for any organization within in your community.

The letter from them is a little confusing, so I'm not sure if I am a second prize winner, a Grand Prize Winner, or a potential winner. Can someone help me decipher. Here is how the letter reads exactly:

"We are pleased to announce that you have been selected as the potential Prize Winner of the Continental Mills sponsored Krusteaz Gives Back Sweepstakes. The Grand Prize entitltes the winner to nominate a community organization to receive a check in the amount of $1,000.00! In order to confirm your eligibility......"

What do you all think?

Thanks,

April

How exciting!!! It sounds to me that you are the Grand Prize winner!!! Very happy for you. They always state potential winner until they receive the affy back from you. Congratulations on a wonderful win

LOOKS LIKE A DONATION WIN GUESS YOU JUST GET TO PICK WHO GETS IT WILL MAKE YA FEEL GOOD, ALTHOUGH IT WOULD BR NICE IF YOU GOT A CHECK ALSO.

Looks like you won someone $1000. How cool is that?!!! Think of a really deserving charity and then fill 'er out. Cuz you just won the GRAND PRIZE from what I'm reading. Congratulations!!

Thanks everyone!!!! I am SO very excited. My husband is active duty military, so I am going to donate the money to the USO for all the wonderful work they do for the soldiers here and abroad!

Yippee!!!! Made my day, and will definitely make someone else's day!!!!!

You are the winner, whether it's grand prize winner or second prize.
They only call you potiential winner until your affy and information go through.
But you are the winner. I went through the same thing when I won a trip to San Diego a few summers back.

Remember you have to pay taxes on this prize. However, if you itemize on the 2011 tax form then you may be able to declare a charitable contribution.

Hmm, I'm not sure about that. The affidavit very clearly states that SHE didn't win $1000. She won the honor of nominating a charity to receive the company's $1000 donation.

P.S. Still an awesome prize, and even better if it isn't taxed!

I think you are the winner! I got a similar affidavit/letter from a Nestle contest (though I got to keep my money ) They don't consider you the official grand prize winner until you return the affidavit of eligibility. That's why it says you are a potential grand prize winner.

Sounds like grand prize is written all over it. Congrats on you very nice win!!
