Received a package with nothing in it

I have a question on what to do. Today the mailman delieved a package from Edelman with nothing in it. It was ripped open on the side of the package, big enough for a hand to fit in. I'm not sure what to do. Is this a lost cause or is there something I can do like file something with the postal service? Thanks for reading, and comments would be greatly appreciated.
 
I had that happen once, I went to my local post office and they had me fill out a paper that asked what the package contained, well I was not sure as I did not know what I had won from the company so I contacted them and asked what they mailed me, I filled the form out and the Post office turned it over to the lost and found department, that is where things go from packages that opened and contents fell out, I never got my movies, but if you know what it was or a way to call and see what it was it could not hurt to try. Thank you so much. I had a feeling thats about all I could do. I did contact the company last night so I hope they respond, if not I plan to can later today.
