Have some fun and answer the poll question. Do your fellow sweepers have ulterior motives for being here? Now all will be told! Enjoy!

I actually could have answered it a couple of different ways.... but I'm totally addicted to sweeping - so that was my best answer.

I enjoy it also. I don't let it consume me. If I miss a day or I go on vacation and I take a week off, I don't worry about "OMG! I didn't get my entries in." I do it leisurely, and if I win, I enjoyed the time I spent doing it.

I'm still shooting for a trip (for as many years as I've been sweeping , I've never won a vaction, it would be nice to win someday.)

Other than that, I am happy with every prize that I have won. Especially the free product coupons. I love those for some reason. To some it might not seem like alot, but when you count it up on your grocery slip, it can really add up to savings.

I'm appreciative for anything that I have won.

Do you mean "YOU fellow sweepers" rather than "YOUR fellow sweepers"? I don't understand what you mean by ULTERIOR motives by being here, whichever way you meant to ask the question. All of the poll answers you offer would seem to be legitimate reasons for being here, rather than some "ulterior" motive.

I'm with you, Thumbelina--I love the product coupons--it really does add up on the grocery bills.

I also love to win just about anything! It's really exciting to see a winning screen.

Keeps my compulsive gambling gene under control. My grandfather was banned from Vegas for card counting back in the day (so far back in the day that "banned" might easily mean "buried in a landfill by mobsters").
BTW, the movie 21 makes card counting look way too easy.

I enjoy sweeping only because I win. If I didn't win on a regular basis there's no way I'd put the time in. With the exception of a few, the prizes I won last year covered everyone on my Christmas list. With some of the prizes I've won this year, I've given out for b'days and have a stash of'em put aside for this Christmas. Since I give away pretty much everything I win, I've decided to keep the $$$ I plan to win for 1 year & buy myself something nice next summer.

I hope you understand that this poll is for laughs and I have not meant any offense by how I worded my statement. If I have offended anyone, please accept my apology. As soon as I think this comment has had time to be viewed, I will attempt to remove this poll.

I don't think it offended anyone. I love the fun polls. Thanks!

It didn't offend anyone. What was said to you was probably not intended the way it came across. Put your poll back so the rest of us can vote! Love to everyone.

Since some of you like the poll and see that it is just for fun, I have unlocked the voting again. Thanks for making me feel better.

I began sweeping for none of the above. ROFL I really did. I was sick. I lost most of my memory and some motor skills. I was afraid of my computer for a year! I thought if I cut it on I would just be more depressed by the lack of skills I had. Instead I turned that negativity into something good. I relearned to type and I now know my name, address, etc. I have actually learned to operate a camera I won from Kleenex. I won no contest like I thought I would as my photo skills are not that great. I actually write a few essay contest tho my writing skills are awful. Never won "The Big One" but have won some nice things and loved each win as it gave me a sense of accomplishment and worth. I had unrealistically thought I would win enough money to get my Grandchild into college. I have OCD and it got away from me and I really had to put it away mostly the last month. I will not let it stop me from enjoying a new hobby occasionally but my grandstanding days with it are over now. I made all the mistakes at first (probably some now) a person can make doing it. I found myself looking forward to each day now and making new sweeping friends. I publicly apologize to anyone or company I may have made mad because I did not understand. Sweeping is marketing. I want to use each product and practically do when I shop but with such a limited income (I actually had (gasp) Christmas presents last year) it is hard to pass up somethings I can never afford unless I do win a big cash prize one day. I tend to type too much now days so slapping my hand enough. I just love it and everyone involved!

I sweep because it's the one hobby that I can enjoy by myself. Sort of like collecting stamps but with more vivor. (lol)

Of course I like it when the family gets involved (usually when there is a big prize at stake) but in the end it is me against field.

I was doing the sweepstkes by hand post cards or 3 by 5 card and envelop for years in 2002 by husband got me computor and I learn how to do the computor and then I started sweeping. and in 2004 I won from the American Idol car, trip, six hundred spending mony I got to see the final show and come back in get my car. I then keep winning many things the latest one is six thousand dollar ring from glamour magazine so I love to sweep and it takes the pain away from my legs that is why I got the computor because my walking is limited now and I do the sweep for hours and it does pay off.

I'm an addict to the surprises! Whenever I win it makes me giggle, sometimes I will bust out laughing from excitement. When I was notified I won a 40" inch HDTV and surround system from Starz, I sat in my car in front of the post office laughing. I wonder what people must have thought? :crazytongue:

i started sweeping pretty regularly after i had my daughter in february. i'm a SAHM now and when i get any free time i try to enter. i haven't won anything big but i'm keeping my fingers crossed. i really want to win a trip or something so i can get away. but i guess it's because i enter to win the things i can no longer afford and plus it's addictive and i like getting mail. :)
