Quick Start Up

Have you got so many programs and utilities that start with Windows that you have to wait forever for it to boot up? You could go to your StartUp folder (in Windows\Start Menu\Programs) and empty it of shortcuts for items you no longer want to start with Windows.

But what if you just want to boot quickly this one time, without a permanent change to your system? Just hold down the Ctrl key while Windows is starting up. This will prevent the applications in the Startup folder from launching.
