Question about trips...

Ok I looked for this question but couldn't find it. I noticed that a lot of trip contests (like for concerts) will be for four people. Now I have friends who would love to accompany me and my daughter. My question is if I win and we can't get the same dates off of work do I have to find two different people to come or do they allow two people to just go? Also, I am not asking about trips that are for 2 kids and 2 adults like the Disney trips. I know these are geared towards parents and young kids. Also, do they make you pay taxes as if 4 people are going? I may avoid the 4 people contests if this could be a problem. Nothing would be worse than winning a trip and losing it because my friends and I couldn't get our schedules straight . I really need a trip so I will keep entering at the 2 people contest. Thanks in advance for the advice. Have a good one!

Most sponsors do not have a problem if fewer guests come along, but it definately is a sponsor specific situation. Same thing for adding addt'l guests (at your own expense, of course.)
However, many administrators ask for the guests names and info at the time the affies are filled out. So, my advice would be that once you do win something like that would be to immediately contact the sponsor and ask how to proceed with what you are wanting to do.

...and you will only be responsible for paying taxes on what the sponsor actually pays for the trip. So, if only two go instead of four, the sponsor will only be covering the costs for two people.

Thanks guys! You both are so helpful :headbang:. I really need a vacation as most of us do lol so now I know what to enter
