Problem getting prize - need advice

I won a blackberry iPhone from the Weather Channel sweeps back on June 20th and sent them my wireless provider at that time. Today I got an email from them stating:

We apologize for any inconvenience, but please know that our sponsor has
recently informed us that Alltel is not among the supported wireless
providers for this promotion.

Please review the following list of supported providers, and respond
with your selection:

- Verizon
- AT&T
- Sprint
- T-Mobile



Their rules http://weather.eprize.net/blackberry/?page=rules did not state that it had to be a certain cell phone provider. I have used Alltel for about 10 years and I'm not going to change just because I won a new phone. And our Alltel sells that particular phone so why would the Weather Channel sweeps not be able to send me the phone for this provider?

Any advice on what to do? This was a really nice win that I was looking forward to getting! Thanks for any help!

It doesn't state they provide service so what's the issue? :scratch:

Rules do say:

No cash equivalent and all prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.

So maybe ask if they will just send the phone, with no service?
 
Yes, that's the one. But I think it has to be flashed or something to work with certain wireless providers. I don't know. I'll e-mail them again & ask if something can be done to work this out. I don't want to seem ungrateful but this just seems a little strange.
