Prayer Of The Day

Ever feel like you are walking around in a daze? Like the world is spining around to fast? Things can be confusing at times but God is not a God of confusion. He will give you peace and make the world around you slow down. Trust him with everything

He is faithful in everything. He commands us to follow him. He is a righteous judge. He is our source for all our needs. He is Lord. He is calling you Amen.

David was a man after God's own heart but when we read about David we know he was a siner of the worst kind. King David repented of his sins and God forgave him. If God forgave him he can forgive us. Turn from sin and be the one after God's own heart.

God is an amazing God. He will answer prayer even if it's a prayer for the Saints to win the Superbowl. Even though some prayers may seem not important we are important to him and if something like a football game gives us joy then we can ask God for a win. Nothing is too small or to big for him Amen.

I want to take the time to thank the Lord for our health. My family are very blessed when it comes to being sick of any type. We have not had even a cold in over 5 years. I know it helps that Phil and I workout and try to eat right. Now I realize that I don't take this for granted and I am not saying that I am better than others. I am only giving thanks to God for his huge part in keeping us healthy. Praise God.

When the going gets tough the tough get going. I realize times are tough for a lot of people right now but hold on to your faith. God will see you through if you believe. He has never let me down. I on the other hand have let him down many times. He will see you through to the other side. He is faithful praise God.

Hi Could you please pray for me. I have done alot wrong in my life and as a result I am paying for it. I am suffering and I am afraid of what's to come. I have very bad luck and nothing goes right ever. I am so depressed and sad. everyday for me is a struggle and yet I know that if God does not save me then I will suffer until God calls me home. Please pray that God helps me with wisdom, understanding and helps me to forgive myself and to rely on him. Thank You.

It would be my pleasure to pray for and with you. Many of us have done a lot of wrong in our lives BUT GOD. He is always there for you and me and he forgives us of all that we have done wrong. Just ask for his mercy and grace and allow him to work in your life. He loves each of us and he will never leave us. That is his promise. Please don't tear yourself up for the things in your life that have made you feel so depressed. As I said earlier King David sined and God himself called him a man after his own heart. It takes a lot of courage to reach out to someone and ask for prayer. Thank you for asking me to pray and I know others here who will do the same for you.

If you have given your life over to God then he has saved you and now you just need to trust him to see you through this dark time in your life. Remember this too shall pass. Read your Bible often and know you are loved. God bless you and if I can help you in private messages please send me one.

LOVE!!! when we look up scripture talking about love we can find it all through the Bible. Take the time to read them and let's all let it sink in. I am going to post the most quoted chapter today but there is more than just one type of love. I will post the different types tomorrow but today just the most common one that everyone knows.

1Corinthians 13 (Amplified Bible)

1 Corinthians 13
1IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such [a]as is inspired by God's love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

2And if I have prophetic powers (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God's love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody).

3Even if I dole out all that I have [to the poor in providing] food, and if I surrender my body to be burned or [c] in order that I may glory, but have not love (God's love in me), I gain nothing.

4Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.

5It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].

6It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.

7Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].

8Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy ([d]the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth].

9For our knowledge is fragmentary (incomplete and imperfect), and our prophecy (our teaching) is fragmentary (incomplete and imperfect).

10But when the complete and perfect (total) comes, the incomplete and imperfect will vanish away (become antiquated, void, and superseded).

11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; now that I have become a man, I am done with childish ways and have put them aside.

12For now we are looking in a mirror that gives only a dim (blurred) reflection [of reality as [e]in a riddle or enigma], but then [when perfection comes] we shall see in reality and face to face! Now I know in part (imperfectly), but then I shall know and understand [f]fully and clearly, even in the same manner as I have been [g]fully and clearly known and understood [[h]by God].

13And so faith, hope, love abide [faith--conviction and belief respecting man's relation to God and divine things; hope--joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love--true affection for God and man, growing out of God's love for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is love.

I would ask that everyone reading this page today please agree with me in prayer for our friend in Christ who needs strength and is asking for God's wisdom and understanding. God bless for where two or more are gathered in his name then he is in the midst Amen

Ummm, deelyrics, i'm sorry to say but in my belief system if you do wrong knowingly, you get what you deserve... i can not pray for someone who has knowingly done wrong or hurt to another human being..... i just can't, it's not right if I do, i would only be cursing myself and condoning what ever it is you are asking praying for (your wrong doing).... it is true, what goes around, comes around.... Life's #1 lesson.... I truly hope you have learned from the wrong-doing you have done and find a way.....

I also stand in agreement with Cindy that God will bless you and help you. I pray that God be with you and show you the way. We have all done wrong, and while we may or may not have to pay for our wrongs, they are all forgiven if you truely ask God for forgivness and to lead you and give your life to him. Accept Jesus Christ and know he is the son of God that died for our sins and all your sins WILL BE FORGIVEN. then you can begin to forgive yourself. If I can help in any way feel free to pm me and I will be glad to speak to you or do anything I can. God bless you and be with you

There are four Greek words that we translate as love, two of which are found in the Bible. The four words are agape, phileo, eros, and stergo. The first is phileo, which means to have a brotherly love for others. It implies a deep-rooted affection. It is from the Greek, which means brotherly love, and is where we get our word for the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia (Matthew 19:19b). Phileo is companionship—as in a relationship that grows, and benefits from the friendship. It is a word picture of a good marriage where each one is uplifting and encouraging the other. This type of love implies that we go beyond superficial relationships, and strive for the deep, without being shallow or pretentious.

The second word for love in the Bible is agape. This word was used in Classic Greek literature to refer to someone who was generously favored by a god. It conveys the idea of a person giving all his or her love, or favor, to someone else other than one’s self. It is a love that is not earned; rather, it is relational and given freely. It also refers to parents giving all of their love to their child. In the New Testament, agape love is used to make a similar point, as God gives each of us all of His love. It is a love that gives without expectations, or a response from the other. It takes the initiative, as Christ did with us, and fosters the Fruit of the Spirit and brotherly love. Agape love is also the most common word used both as a noun and a verb in the New Testament. The greatest example of agape love is what our Lord Jesus Christ did, when He died for our sins. God showed His love by taking our place, and the wrath and punishment for our sins. He paid that price through His sinless life, and His sacrifice on our behalf. Consequently, God’s agape love rescued us from the punishment that we deserved. We deserved punishment, yet, we received His favor without earning it (Mark 12:30; John 3:16, Matthew 22:34-40; Mark 12:28-31; John 13:34-35; Romans 1:31; 12:10; 1 Thessalonians 1:3; 2:8; 3:6; 12; 4:9-10; 5:8; 13; 2 Timothy 3:3).

There are two other types of love in the Greek that are not found in the Bible. The first one is eros, which usually refers to sex, and the love between a husband and wife. It is more than just sexual ecstasy because, in classic Greek, it also includes embraces, yearning, and caring. This type of love is based on physical attraction and desire; it has a need to be fulfilled, it is self centered and unconcerned with the other. But, in passages such as Ephesians 5:25 where we are called to love our spouse romantically, the word used is not eros, rather, agape! So, as a Christian, we are to have a deeper love than what we see in the media and society, one that is not based on eroticism. Eros has noun and verb forms that we do find in the New Testament for lust, such as, epithumeo (1 John 2:16).

The second love that is popular in evangelical circles is stergo, and, this is not in the Scriptures in its noun or verb form, either. It does occur in Romans 1:31 and 2 Timothy 3:3 in its negative form astorgos referring to unloving. It normally refers to family love, as in the love between parents and children, or the love between people and their leader who has responsibility over them, from parents to civic authorities. What we learn from these Greek words agape, and phileo, used in the Bible, is their emphases of real, authentic love, without pretensions or expectations (1 John 4:7-11). They show the goal to be developing maturity and character in oneself, and in others. The other two words imply strings attached, expectations needed to make them work. They refer to lust, which is a pretender to love, the reason they are not used for love in God’s most precious Word. They refer to a connection that must already be there, such as a parent and child. The parent does not love another’s child as he does his own

It's a great day to celebrate the Lord. Every day is a great day to celebrate who he is and what he does. We serve a big God and he is going to be there with us throughout eternity. Looking forward to it. Have a blessed day everyone.
